is forced to cancel a UK concert at London's Royal Albert Hall with
the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Motive: venue officials declare
the libretto
200 Motels obscene
and refuse to have it played.
Zappa makes
movie 200 Motels
in UK's Shepperton Studios, with guest appearances by Ringo Starr
and Keith Moon. 1979 - LP Sleep Dirt
peaks at US #175. [9] 1983 - Zappa conducts
the San Francisco Music Players at the city's War Memorial Opera House,
in works by Edgar Varèse and Anton Webern.
