An interesting idea of a retractable landing gear to be used in a

F2C model build by ALBERTO CROMBERG (Argentina)

 

This retractable landing gear has been made originally by Walt Perkins. Them after a few ideas and improvements ,this version of retract was builded (photos below). It's a very simple mechanism. After the first version, the next idea according to Juan Carlos Scaltritti will have an air brake placed in the leg of the landing gear to help to reduce speed after being activated for the pit stop. To decrease the weight some parts will be build in carbon . The solution is very interesting because does not need a metal box to involve the mechanism. This mechanism can be fix directly in to the wing.
 

We think that, this is an idea to be use or developed for those Teams that like retract systems.
