The broken glass lay around her bruised and battered body a pool of blood was getting bigger by the 
minute 
"Serve's you right if you disobey me b*tch" the sound of his cold emotionless voice echoed in her 
head she couldn't move she needed help but she couldn't get it... 

"OPEN UP" her mateshouted through the letter box but got no response she gave up 
and walked round to the back door she knew she'd find a key under the mat she unlocked 
the door and opened it going through into the kitchen she saw broken glass and china by 
the door she followed it deeper into the kitchen and gasped as she saw one of her best 
friends lying there motionless 
"" she screamed dropping to her knees she checked her pulse she could feel it faintly 
she got up and ran to the phone dialling 999 
"Can i have an ambulance please" she asked 
"Whats the problem" the operator asked 
"It's my friend she's unconcious covered in blood and bruises hurry please" she begged 
"Ok love calm down and tell me the address" the operator asked calmly gave her 
the address and waited withuntil the ambulance came 
"Can i come with her?"asked one of the paramedics 
"Sure" he replied andclimbed into the back 
"Do you know what or who caused this?" the paramedic asked 
"Her boyfriend he can get very abusive i don't know why she doesn't leave him 
she'll end up dead one day"said breaking down into tears...

I waited in the waiting room for what seemed foreverwas being closely monitored 
by doctors and nurses i was waiting for an update on her but they were taking there 
time i got up and went to the pay phone to callanother one of our mates and get 
her to call 
"Hello?"answered 
"Hey Hun it's" i replied 
"Alright Hun so is's 21st birthday surprise party still on in three weeks 
time" she asked 
"I hope" i answered 
"Why what's wrong she hasn't found out has she?"asked 
"No she's in hospital he got her again" i said feeling tears sting the back of 
my eyes 
"Oh no"answered 
"Yeah i know could you do me a favour and ringand then come down here i hate 
waiting in the waiting room alone" i said 
"Ok sure hun we'll be right down"said 
"Thanks bye" 
"Bye" she said and i hung up 
I sat back down in the same seat and waited some more a young looking man was rushed 
through on a stetcher with another one following behind 
"You have to wait here" the doctor said to him 
"Ok" the young man withhair answered reluctantly he turned around and looked at me 
"Is that seat taken?" he asked pointing at the spare seat next to me 
"No you may sit down on it if you like" i replied with a small shy smile 
"Thanks i'mbtw" he answered holding his hand out 
"" i replied shaking it 
"So you waiting for your friend too eh?" he asked 
"Yeah its like they take forever in here" i complained and he chuckled a bit 
"Mr." the doctor called to
"Yes" he answered 
"Can we see you privately please" the doctor said 
"Bye"said to me and left 
"What a cutie" I heardsay i turned to see her andat my side 
"Yeah that's" i replied 
"We know"answered 
"How?" i asked 
"Blue" the pair replied in unison 
"You mean i've just been talking to him without realising" i said stunned as they 
nodded then it clickedwas the young man on the stretcher i didn't say anything 
toandas i didn't want anyone else to hear and then for it to 
hit press. 
"So heard anything about?"asked 
"Ah no" 
"Miss" the doctor called me 
"Yes" i answered standing up 
"is stable but we would like to keep her in for the rest of the week and 
police inquries will be needed if you could get witnesses or people who know 
it would be very helpful" he said 
"Ok can we see" i asked 
"I think it would be best if you came back in the morning" the doctor replied i 
nodded and left withandexplaining what the doctor had told me to them.
