Chapter 10

I sat back on the sofa munching popcorn while my feet were set in the foot massager an oil candle 
was burning on a table in the room letting off the sent of lavender gently I was working my way 
up to askingif she would marryif he asked her but I know he willtold me all 
about the plan when they were supposed to be at the 'studio' the other day when actually they were 
at the jewellers becausewas choosing an engagement ring. 
“?” I said looking over to her as she was painting her toes pink 
“Yeah” she said looking up as she finished her little toe 
“I've been thinking about this for ages and you know how much you love?” I asked 
“Yeah loads why?”smiled. 
“Well what would you do if he asked you to marry him?” I replied 
“I’d definitely say yes I’d love to marry him”said in a dreamy like voice 
“What ifasked you?” she asked suddenly 
“That would be so amazing can you imagine?” I replied 
“Yeah I can actually andhas a nice ring to it”replied as we both cracked up 
laughing.  
“What are we like ah as if that’s gonna happen any time soon” said and went back to 
painting her toes I looked at her and smiled I knew it would happen to her soon enough I 
hated keeping it to myself but what choice did I have I couldn’t just blurt out’s going to 
ask you to marry him could I?...

We had arrived in Tenerife about two hours ago and I was already missingwell I had been 
missing her since we left each other at the airport 
“I’m just gonna callsee if she’s askedyet”said picking up the phone he 
dialled our home number and waited a few minutes 
“Alright there?” he asked 
“Hey babe you ask her yet?”asked. 
“What did she say?” 
“Did she wicked can’t wait until it happens for real anyway gotta go babe love you loads bye” 
said and hung up he turned round and faced me a grin spread across his face 
“Well mate when you ask herwill be you fiancée” he said 
“Yippee” I said jumping up from my seat and dancing round the room in a really stupid fashion 
but I didn’t care right now another one of my dreams was about to come true soon…
