Keep The Faith
Chapter 1

Have you ever heard that things happen for a reason? Well, I know it’s a cliche but it’s true. Do
you wanna know why? Ok, I’ll tell you. I bet all of you wish for the same things: a good life, a
good love and happiness. To find those things you know you have to be kind and not selfish so you
try to help people giving shelter, food, clothes and even money. How do I know that? I used to think
the same way but I realized that even though we do these things, we’re still being selfish and not
kind at all ‘cause sometimes, what people really need is someone they can count on or just a smile on
a rainy day. By the way, my name isand I know you all know me but today I’m
not here to talk about music or tour dates, actually I’m here to tell a story. A story about someone
who never lost the faith.
Everything began an year ago. Me and the lads had just finished a concert in London and were on
our tour bus going back to the hotel chatting and trying to relax when the confusion started...
_COME ON,! I KNOW YOU’RE IN THERE! GET THE HELL OUT OF THIS
BUS NOW!!!
We all look through the window and saw 2 guys on a motorcycle...
_Do you know them? –wondered.
_I have no clue about who they are.
We believedand the guys kept following our bus...
_, I’M WARNING YOU! IF YOU DON’T PAY ME, I’M GONNA KILL YOU!
DID YOU HEAR ME?
We all looked atagain, trying to figure out what was happening...
_Are you sure you don’t know them? –sounded confused.
_I’m telling you mates, I never saw them in my entire life!
reassured us and, to our surprise, the guy on the back of the motorcycle pointed a gun to the
bus and shot...
_THIS WAS THE SECOND WARNING! IF YOU DON’T PAY US FOR THE
“MERCHANDISE”, WE’RE GONNA KILL YOU!
The guy yelled one more time and went to a different way. I looked around the bus and everybody
was on the floor, included me! We simply didn’t know what just had happened. Our manager called
the police and they assuredthat what happened was a big misunderstanding that soon
would be over. After all that, we finally went to the hotel...
_What the hell happened tonight? –asked in disbelief.
_I don’t know. Someone who has the same name as me and even look like me must be in big trouble.
_Come on, let’s forget about that and rest. – I tried to tranquilize him.
_Thanks man. Anyway, where are our stuff?
_In the back of the bus. I’ll get it.
went to the back of the bus and when he picked up some of our stuff, he found something
unusual...
_Are you part of our stuff ?
We heardtalking to someone and went to see what was going on. When we got close I
couldn’t believe my eyes. There was a girl among our bags! She was young and looked like she had
just come out from a Bon Jovi video or the movie “Young Guns” ‘cause she was wearing cowboy
brown boots, blue jeans torn on the knees, a white T-shirt, an old brown overcoat and a cowboy hat
but believe me, Kiefer Sutherland or Emilio Estevez wouldn’t look that good in that outfit...
_What are you doing here? –inquired.
The girl stared at us and suddenly answered in a weird way...
_ Aww....!
We looked at each other not knowing if we should laugh or get mad...
_I’m serious, you know? –said a little bit rude.
_“I was walking around, just a face in the crowd trying to keep myself out of the rain...”
We were confused, we didn’t know what she meant...
_Look, I’m a huge fan of you. I came here to get an autograph or something.
She wasn’t from UK, I could tell by her accent. She spoke in an American way, really like a
cowboy...
_Really... where do we sign? – I asked.
_Well... I don’t have anything here with me but you can sign on my belly.
She raised her shirt enough to show her belly and we all signed...
_Thanks! It’s finally a dream come true.
The girl went to the door, looked both ways and left running...
_What was that? – I asked laughing.
_I don’t know but this night’s really weird! –was laughing too.
_First the shooting then the female “Billy The Kid”. I guess it couldn’t get weirder! –was
laughing almost having an attack.
was kind of serious thinking about something. Maybe he was still in shock but we didn’t
ask anything. On the next day the newspapers published something that worried all of us: “BLUE
LADINVOLVED IN A SHOOTING WITH A DRUG DEALER LAST NIGHT”...
_I can’t believe! Why they don’t mind their own business? – said discontent.
_Come on, everybody knows it’s all a bunch of lies. We’ve been through a lot of these shit, we’re
gonna make through this one too. – I tried to comfort him.
_Yeah mate. Don’t worry about these crap!
tried his best to makelaugh but was hard since he was being accused of something he
didn’t do.still had the same serious face he had the other night but this time I asked...
_What’s wrong with you, man?
_Nothing. I’m just thinking about that girl on our bus.
_Oh, did you like the girl? –asked in a naughty way.
_Is not that. That thing she said, the way she left...
_What about those things? –asked concerned.
_Well, first the shooting then, she appeared on the bus and say what she said, asked for autographs
and left running.... maybe she’s connected to the shooting.
We all stared atnot understanding what he meant...
_It’s impossible! Those guys were looking for “”. –said confused.
_I know but that thing she said sounds familiar. I’ve heard that before, I just don’t know where
or when.
kept thinking as,and I just forgot about that and tried to have a normal day
even with the fact that the press called all day to know something about “’s problem with
drugs”. At night we decided to go somewhere just to chat, drink some beers and cool off our heads.
We went to a small bar called Aquarium Beer...
_Ok, mates, let’s drink! –said all excited.
_Let’s sit over there. Is a nice spot, no one will see us. – pointed.
We all sat and asked for the beer. After an hour, when our minds forgot last night’s episode, we
heard something familiar...
_! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!
Yeah, the same guy who was screaming and shooting last night was at the bar...
_Man, I can’t believe it! –cried.
_Keep cool mate. It’ll be over soon.
I tried to calmand started to look for someone who looked like him or something. I guess you
already know the results I got. That’s it, nothing...
_Please leave, sir. You’re disturbing our customers. – the waiter said politely.
_Yeah, yeah, I’ll leave. I’M LEAVING, BUT YOU KNOW I’M GONNA GET YA!
The guy left and then everybody looked at us...
_Shit! Why this is happening to me? –was embarrassed.
_The police said they’ll solve this, don’t worry mate. –reassured him.
We were not feeling comfortable anymore so we paid our bill and left. When we got outside, another
surprise...
_Sorry! I didn’t see you.... hey! You’re the same girl from yesterday? –said helping her up.
_ Aww...!
She answered the same way as the other night. She was dressed like a cowboy again with black
boots, tight blue jeans, a snake skin vest, an old black overcoat and a cowboy hat...
_What a coincidence, huh? –observed.
_Yeah! I’m so lucky!
_What are you doing here? – I asked.
_Just walking around, you know? Thinking about life.
_Interesting... –didn’t believe her.
_Yeah but now, I really have to go.
The girl backed away...
_Do you need a ride? –asked.
_No, thanks. “ I got a half tank of gas and if I run all the lights, I'll slip across the border on the
wrong side of right...”
And with that she ran away. I looked atand he had that expression on his face again...
_Are you still connecting her to the shooting? – I inquired.
_It can’t be a coincidence, you know? And this thing she said...
_Have you heard it too?
_Maybe...
_If she has something with that, she could tell us who is “”. –said full of hope.
_And what if you went out with this girl, never gave her a call and now she’s trying to slander you?
had a point, that could be true butwasn’t sure about it so, we went back to the hotel
and tried to forget that. The next day we were free, it was a hell of a good thing! We didn’t mention
what happened to anyone, maybe the cops were already solving this and we didn’t want to worry
about that anymore so, we went shopping like “teenage girls”. It was a good laugh, we didn’t even
remember all that weird stuff. After shopping all we could, we went back to the hotel and found out
that was going to have a party there that night. It was great ‘cause nothing better then girls to
make a guy cool off. The lads and I were having the best time of our lives when suddenly guess who
found? Yep, the female “Billy The Kid” wearing black cowboy boots, a blue jean skirt, a
black T-shirt, the same black overcoat from last night and the same cowboy hat. The girl tried to
dodge us but we were faster...
_Hi. Are you here in the hotel? – I asked politely.
_Nah... “I couldn’t sleep so, I took a walk down second avenue sick of dreaming dreams that never
come true...”
_What? –sounded intrigued.
_I’m here just checking the party.
_It’s a big coincidence you being at the same place as us 3 days in a row.
I looked at her and she was smiling. Then, andjoined us...
_You again! What a surprise! –greeted.
_Yeah, you know, I found out where you were and decided to come.
Was obvious that it was a lie but nothing we said or did made her say the truth...
_I’m gonna get something to drink. Do you want something? –asked her.
_Yes, scotch.
_On the rocks?
_Cowboy.
_Obvious! What a stupid question!
left laughing and we couldn’t help laugh as well. When we were trying to take the truth from
her again, an old “friend” appeared...
_, YOU CAN’T ESCAPE NOW!
Everybody looked at the guy yelling and, tired of that situation, went to confront him...
_What do you want from me?
_What?! Are you crazy? I’m not even talking to you!
_So why are you’re yelling my name?
_Are you the onlyin the world? Get the hell out of my way!
The guy pushedand left the hotel. We were so surprised with what happened that we forgot
about “young gun” and when we turned to talk to her again, guess what? She disappeared...
_So who could be the “” on our bus that night besides me?
_Beats me! –said astonished.
Suddenly I looked on the floor and saw a garage business card...
_Check this out.
_A card, so? –said careless.
_It’s from a garage. And guess which name is on it?
They all looked at me...
_No way! –sounded surprised.
_Yes way!
_So, are we gonna go there talk to the guy? –asked.
_I don’t know about you but I’m dying to meet him. –answered quickly.
So we decided that on the next day we were gonna talk to the guy. After our manager gives us more
4 days of freedom, we went to the garage get things clear...
_Hi, can I help you? – a nice old man greeted us.
_Yes, we’re looking for one of your mechanics. – I answered.
_Why? Is something wrong?
_No. We just wanna talk to him.
_Who’s the man?
_.
The old man started to laugh and we didn’t understand...
_! Come over here!
_What’s up, Mr. Mastrangelo?
_ These boys want to talk to you.
_“Young Gun”?! Wearing sneakers?! – we all said surprised.

Chapter 2

_ Hey!
_Are you “”? –asked.
_actually.
We were speechless....
_So, what’s up?
_Can we talk to you, please? – I asked.
_I’m kinda busy right now, you know?
_And at what time do you leave?
_At 5pm.
_Ok, we’ll be back at 5!
She smiled and went back to the car she was fixing...
_Well boys be careful ‘cause this bull is hard to tame! – the old man said laughing.
_Did he just make fun of us? –asked.
_I guess. –answered still in shock.
_And you let it pass?
_I guess.
It was hard to believe thatwas right about her being connected to the shooting.
seemed to be so sweet, so “not trouble”! And what her boss meant by saying that she was a bull
hard to tame? Those things were in my head all day long. At 5pm we were at the garage waiting
for her...
_You’re here again!
_I said we were gonna come back. – I said
_I’m impressed.
_I’m the one impressed. Are you actually a mechanic? –asked amazed.
_Yep! I guess oil runs in my veins.
She smiled again. “Young Gun” had a wonderful and honest smile, it was kinda contagious ‘cause
when she did that we all smiled as well...
_So, what do you wanna talk about?
_Let’s go somewhere we can talk better. –suggested.
_Ok, there’s a diner nearby.
She put her cowboy hat on and led us to the place. We entered; she took off her brown overcoat,
went right to the counter and greeted the waiter...
_Hey Patrick!
_Hey! How are you?
_I’m fine! Could you bring us coffee, please?
The waiter nodded and we sat down...
_Thanks Patrick! So, are you gonna tell me what you want or what?
_Well, the thing is... are you the “guy” who owes money to that drug dealer? –went
straight to the point.
_That’s me, “I’m wanted dead or alive...”.
_BON JOVI! –suddenly yelled.
_What?! – I asked.
_Those things she said are Bon Jovi’s songs!
_Are you insane? –asked.
_No man! Listen, that night on the bus: “I was walking around, just a face in the crowd trying
to keep myself out of the rain...” the song is “These Days” then, at Aquarium Beer: “ I got a half
tank of gas and if I run all the lights, I'll slip across the border on the wrong side of right...” the
song is “Right Side Of Wrong”, yesterday at the party: “I couldn’t sleep so, I took a walk down
second avenue sick of dreaming dreams that never come true...” the song is “Two Story Town” and
now is obvious, “Wanted Dead Or Alive”!
We all looked at him astonished aswas laughing....
_You’re right man, Bon Jovi. My favorite band in the world.
_I knew it! –sounded relieved.
_Ok... now, let’s get back to what we were talking about...
I tried to go on but Serenity interrupt me...
_Look, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to put you in trouble. I didn’t even know that had a “”
among you. I just needed a place to hide that night.
_How did you get in the bus, by the way? – I asked.
_Well, I was running away from those guys and I passed in front of that place you were. I knew
they were getting close so, when I saw the bus door opened I got in.
_And how the guys knew you were in there? –asked.
_I guess they saw me when I made the mistake raising my head to see what was happening with
all those screaming girls.
_You don’t even know who we are, do you? –inquired.
_I know you’re that boy band with the name of a color... I can’t remember.
_Blue. – I answered.
_That’s it! Blue.
_If you didn’t even know the name of the band, how come did you know my name?
_You see, when I raised to see what was going on I saw you passing through the girls as
they were screaming your name.
She told us that she owed money to that guys and needed a little more time to pay and of course,
they didn’t care. Now she was out of trouble ‘cause, that same morning, she paid them...
_Where are you from, “young gun”? –asked.
_USA. New Jersey to be exact.
_And how long have you been living here? –asked.
_4 years this month.
_Live alone? –asked.
_Yep! “When you pray for independence boy, you better stand your ground...”.
_Ok, I guessed those other songs but this one I really don’t know. –observed.
_Relax babe, I’ll tell you. “Stick To Your Guns”.
_Thank you. You saved me a headache!
_No problem.
_, can I please go on? – I asked.
_Sure mate, she’s all yours!
_So, why did you come to London?
When I made that question her face kinda changed but kept that beautiful smile...
_My parents died and since I had no one in Jersey... “She came looking for some shelter with a
suitcase full of dreams... guess she was trying to be James Dean...”
_“These Days”, am I right? –asked.
She nodded and took a sip of her coffee...
_Since when you’re a mechanic? –asked curious.
_Since I was born I guess! You see, my father had a garage back home and his dream was to have
a son to take care of his business but, as you can see, God didn’t cooperate and I was born instead.
So he thought “What The Hell!” and taught me the job.
_And are you good? – I wondered.
_Mr. Mastrangelo, the garage owner, says I’m the best and I think he’s right!
We all had a good laugh.was funny, sweet, nice and really beautiful too. She was easy to
talk and that cowboy style made her unique. It was really bad that she had such a horrible addiction.
My mom always told me that no one is perfect and, in that case, she was totally right about
. After that night me and the lads got close to her. Every time one of our cars had something
wrong we called her to fix it and even went clubbing with her. liked Bon Jovi so much
thatbecame an expert! He bought every CD and knew every lyric that “young gun” said
to us. One day, when we got back from Germany, we decided to make a surprise for her. We went
to her house but it wasn’t such a good idea...
_Hey! What are you doing here?
sounded surprised and, by the way she was looking at us, she was “high”. It was scary
‘cause we never saw her that way before...
_Didn’t you like to see us here? –asked smiling.
_No, it’s not that... I’m just surprised. Come in.
That was the first time we went to her flat and man it was small. It had just the living room with
a sofa – bed, a small TV, a phone on the floor, a small stereo and at one of the corners there was a
trunk full of clothes. A small kitchen with a small table, two chairs, a fridge and an oven; and a
bathroom with her personal stuff. Though the house was small and with almost nothing in it, it
was really clean an in order...
_So, what brings you here?
_We came to check on you. We missed you, you know? – I answered.
_How are you doing? –asked.
_“I’m alive I’m takin’ each day and night at a time. I’m down, but I know I’ll get by...”.
_“Someday I’ll Be Saturday Night”, am I right “young gun”?
_Right again.
We all knew that something was wrong with her;had a weak smile on her face and
wasn’t looking us in the eye like she always did. We decided not say a word ‘cause we didn’t
want to embarrass her or make her feel uncomfortable. We really wanted to do something to help
her...
_I’d offer you something to drink but I drank the last beer I had and to eat, only God knows the
last time I did it.
We didn’t know what to say, we just heard her saying that and got shocked. After a few minutes
of an awkward silence, finally said something...
_We can go out and eat something, what do you say?
_Yeah, let’s go! I’m starving! – I followed his lead.
_Come on “young gun”, grab a coat and let’s go. – Antony tried to cheer her up.
Since that night we started to visit her more often and took her out for dinner or lunch every time
we could.thought about giving her money but I thought it wasn’t right. Not because I knew
she’d buy drugs with that but because that would hurt her. We couldn’t watch her 24/7 but we
tried our bests to keep her far from her addiction. We started to do crazy stuffs to keep our eyes on
her like damaging our own cars to have her around fixing them. Months went by andwas
part of the family and I was kind of developing feelings for her but I was too chicken to do
something ‘cause, even if I enjoyed being with her, I didn’t want to admit my feelings for someone
like her. I know, it’s cruel and mean but I was prejudiced. The only one who knew about that was
, he made a big deal at first but then he understood me. I was too frightened but never let
my feelings push me away from her. In a few days we’d be recording songs for our new album so
during this time we could watch her better. The lads and I took her to dinner to give the news...
_That’s great! It means that I’ll see you more.
_Yeah! We can go out and party almost every night. –said with a happy voice.
_Totally! “One wild night blinded by the moonlight...24 hours of midnight...”
_And for $ 1.000 which song is this Mr.? –joked
_Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure is “One Wild Night”, Mr..
_Is he right Mss.?
_Yep!
_I told you man; now you gotta pay me!
That night was great, we all had fun andwas really happy. She seemed to be back on her
feet and it was rewarding for us ‘cause we were making a difference in her life...
_Well boys, it’s getting late and tomorrow I have to work.
_Ok babe. It was good to see you again.
I gave her a hug and it felt so good that I even closed my eyes to enjoy the moment...
_Goodbye “young gun”.
She put her hat on and looked straight into my eyes...
_“Never say goodbye, you and me and my old friends hoping it would never end...”
_“Never Say Goodbye”, mate.
interrupted my thoughts as she drove off in her old car. That night I thought a lot about
her, I really wished she were with me. I wanted to protect her all the time, make sure she’d be safe
but there was a problem: her addiction. Every time I dreamt about her being by my side, her addiction
appeared like a ghost making me scared thinking I was crazy for feeling that way. One night I decided
to see her...
_Hi. Came by yourself today?
_Yes, I didn’t want to stay at home and decided to see you. We never talked alone.
_You’re right. I never saw any of you alone.
She invited me in, handed me a bottle of beer and sat next to me...
_So, how are you?
_“Happiness it’s been no friend to me but forever after ain’t what’s all crooked up to be...”
_Now I wishwas here.
I joked and she laughed...
_“Something For The Pain”, babe.
_You really like music, don’t you?
_It makes my life goes pretty easy.
_I see that you have a guitar over there. Do you play?
_Nah. I just have it ‘cause it was my father’s. Is like something to remember him.
_Don’t you have any pictures?
_I have lots of them.
_Could you show me?
_Sure.
was a beautiful little girl. Always with her long hair over her shoulders and that
smile that could bright up any bad day. She looked like her mother, had the same sparkling
eyes of hers and always had that cowboy style she sure got from her father. I thought that I was
being inconvenient by asking to see those pictures but I was wrong. She laughed telling me about
funny stuffs of her childhood. It was hard to believe that a girl who had everything ended up like
that. One thing that always amazed me was the fact she carried on living and never gave up on
herself. Ok, she used drugs to run away from her problems but everybody find their way to do the
same with music, dance or writing. In her case was something that was hurting her and I found
myself obligated to do something to help her quit with that. The night was going really well ‘till
her phone ring.answered and got kinda scared...

Chapter 3

_What’s wrong?
_I guess it’s the 10th time someone call to threat me.
_Are you in trouble again?
She didn’t want to answer but I insisted and she finally gave away...
_I owe those guys again but I’ll pay them, I just need time.
_Look, I don’t want you to stay here alone.
_And where do I go?
_You can come with me.
_No way!
_Listen to me, you can stay in my house ‘till you pay them.
wasn’t sure about that but I could see in her eyes that she didn’t wanna die so, she packed
some of her stuff, grabbed her coat and we went to my place. In my car she was impatient...
_“In the heat of the street of the city, a young boy hides the pain and he walks so tall, trying to hang
on but he knows he's going down again. I know he's going down...”
_What did you say?
_Nothing... I’m just thinking.
When we entered in my place she seemed to be in another world...
_?? “Young gun”?
_What?
_Are you ok?
_I’ve been better.
_Listen, everything will be fine. You don’t have to worry.
_I’m not worried. I’m just not feeling good being here. Sorry but is true.
_You don’t have to be sorry, I understand you. Look, I’m gonna fix us something to eat so sit down
and relax, ok?
She just nodded and sat on the couch as I went to the kitchen. I made a tuna sandwich and grape
juice for her. I called her to come to the kitchen but I had no answer so, I went to see what was going on...
_God! You really are “Billy The Kid”, aren’t you girl?
was laid on my couch using her coat as a pillow. I took off her boots, put a pillow under her
head and covered her with a blanket. You’re probably thinking that I should have taken “young gun”
to a decent bed but think with me. She was so tired and sleeping so peacefully that if I tried to move
her she’d wake up and it wasn’t fair with her. Anyway, next morning I woke up and went to check
on her. She was sat on the floor, watching cartoons and eating corn flakes...
_Good morning “young gun”.
_Morning, I’d make something for you to eat but, as you can see, I can’t cook.
_That’s ok. Are you feeling better?
_Yep! I just need to take a shower and go to work.
_A shower is ok but you won’t go to work. I’m gonna call your boss and tell him you’re sick. You’ll
go to the studio with us.
_But if I don’t work I won’t have the money to pay those guys.
_Don’t worry, I think’s car is not working well so you have guaranteed money.
_Ok then. Where’s the bathroom?
I showed her the way and minutes later my mates appeared...
_Hey, where were you last night? –asked.
_I went to see.
_How’s she? –asked concerned.
_She’s ok, just a bit scared ‘cause she’s in trouble again.
_Man, can we do something? –Jaymielinconasked.
_Well, let’s do something with’s car and give her some of the money she needs.
_Why my car?
_‘Cause I said so! Anyway..., yesterday she said one of those things again.
_Say it.
_I can’t remember the exact words but, was something about a young boy hiding his pain and she
knows the boy is going down.
_Let me think.... hmmm.... oh, it’s “The Hardest Part Is The Night”.
_Thank you. It was bothering me a lot!
Suddenly “young gun” showed up more cowboy then ever with torn blue jeans, brown cape skin boots,
a brown cape skin corset with a white blouse underneath and a brown cape skin coat with fringes on the back...
_What are you doing here? –asked surprised.
_“She’s a little runaway, daddy’s girl learned fast all those things he couldn’t say...”
_Please...
_“Runaway”.
_So it means you’re staying here ‘till you pay the guys. –was curious.
_I didn’t want to butJaymielinconkinda convinced me.
scowled at me. What could I do? I was trying to help though he thought it was an excuse to keep
her close to me...
_Anyway, we have to go. Are you coming with us? –asked.
_Well, if you don’t want me to, that’s Ok.
_No, I just asked. Let’s go then.
We went to the studio and there, we had a meeting with our manager that took hours.was
waiting outside but she got bored and after a while she found the recording studio. She started to look
around and entered in the booth...
_God... it’s been such a long time....
She took a guitar that was in there, closed her eyes and out of the blue started to play. When she
opened her eyes, she realized she had made a big mistake. The “recording” light was on and, the studio
that was ready for us, recorded her playing. She tried to do something but was too late...
_What are you doing here? – I asked.
_Nothing. I was tired of waiting.
_Come on “young gun”, what’s the catch? –asked suspicious.
gave us a weak smile...
_“It’s all the same, only the names will change, everyday it seems we’re wasting away...”.
put her hat on and left. I could do nothing ‘cause I had a work to do...
_“Wanted Dead Or Alive”.
_You hurt her!
_Sorry, I didn’t mean it.
_Hey, I guess she was pretending to be hurt. – one of the producers said.
_What do you mean? – I asked.
_She recorded something.
We looked at each other and sat down to listen what it was...

I wake up in the morning and I raise my weary head I’ve got an old coat for a pillow and the earth was last night bed I don’t know where I’m going Only God knows where I’ve been I’m a devil on the run, a six gun lover, a candle in the wind (yeah) When you’re brought to this world They say you’re born in sin Well at least they gave me something I didn’t have to steal or have to win Well they tell me that I’m wanted Yeah I’m a wanted man I’m a colt in your stable, I’m what Cain was to Abel Mister catch me if you can I’m going down in a blaze of glory Take me now but know the truth I’m going out in a blaze of glory And Lord I never drew first but I drew first blood I’m no one’s son Call me young gun You ask about my conscience and I offer you my soul You ask if I’ll grow to be a wise man Well I ask you if I’ll grow old You ask if I’ve known love and what is like to sing songs in the rain Well I’ve seen love come, I’ve seen it shot down I’ve seen it die in vain Shot down in a blaze of glory Take me now but know the truth ‘Cause I’m going out in a blaze of glory And Lord I never drew first but I drew first blood I’m no one’s son Call me young gun Each night I go to bed I pray the Lord my soul to keep No I ain’t looking for forgiveness but before I’m six foot deep Lord I gotta ask a favor and I hope You understand ‘Cause I’ve lived life to the fullest Let this boy die like a man Staring down the bullet let me make my final stand Shot down in a blaze of glory Take me now but know the truth I’m going out in a blaze of glory And Lord I never drew first but I drew first blood I’m no one’s son Call me young gun
_You gotta be kidding! –said in shock. _This girl can’t be “young gun”! –said shocked as well. _Let’s see, the girl was singing “Blaze Of Glory” which was written by Bon Jovi and her accent sounds a lot with’s. –explained in a sarcastic way. _Look, if this girl singing is your friend you should consider her a future enemy in album sales. She’s damn good! Her voice is amazing and the way she plays is fantastic. That was the review that one of our producers gave and it was true.had an incredible voice; she didn’t sound like a pop teen idol like Christina Aguilera or Britney Spears. To tell the truth, I don’t even know who I could compare her with... _She put her soul in the song. It’s like she’s the boy the song is talking about. – the producer said. _So she’s good material? – I asked. _Of course! And the way she sounds, she’s totally ready for this. Give her my card and tell her to give me a call if she’s interested. Ok boys, it’s your turn now! We did our job and then went to talk to. Guess what? She wasn’t at my home. We tried the garage, her flat and 2 hours later we found her at that diner... _We were looking for you! – I said almost breathless. _I’m right here. _We really need to talk to you. –said serious. _Shoot! _First of all, I’m sorry if I hurt you. I didn’t mean it. – he apologized. _“I can still remember when I was just a kid, when friends were friends forever and what you said was what you did...”. _Ok, “Blood On Blood”, I deserved it. _Look, you were singing in the studio, weren’t you? – I asked in a low voice. _I don’t know what you’re talking about. _Come on “young gun”. You were the only one there this afternoon. –was a little bit impatient. _So what? Maybe someone was there before me. didn’t want to admit and it was frustrating ‘cause her voice was the ticket that would take her out of that life... _, we’re serious. Was it you? – I asked again. _I told you, I don’t know what you’re talking about. _Listen... _I have to go. Call me if you need something, ok? _... – I tried again. _You know ...“Once I was promised absolution. There’s only one solution for my sins, you gotta face your ghosts and know with no illusions that only one of you is going home again...”. _Which is this one? –asked. _“Santa Fe”. “Young Gun” left us there and I got pretty angry with me and with her... _What’s wrong? –wondered. _It’s all a big bullshit! She’s good and she knows that. I never heard that “Billy The Kid” was dumb; is an exception? _Easy mate. If she doesn’t wanna go for a career we have to respect that. – Simon said. _But it’s stupid! I don’t want that to her ‘cause of the fame or the money but ‘cause she can quit with her addiction and be .... and be.... _Normal and with you, is that what you mean? –asked a bit upset. _No! I mean she can be free from trouble and smile like the way she did when her parents were alive! “Gonna take a miracle to save us this time...”. You didn’t go crazy, that was me using “Miracle”, trying to find a way to convince her to do the right thing. Me and the guys called her all week to check if everything was all right and she was acting like everything was fine. On a Friday we had to do a concert and that morning I had an idea. We called our manager and the producer who liked her to come listen to her singing then, we broke something in Lee’s car and called her during our rehearsal at the arena telling her to meet us there. I know you’re gonna say that wasn’t the right thing to do but I was desperate. Around 4pm,showed up and fixed the car in 30minutes. We were finishing our dance routine and she was in front of the stage making fun of us.... _Could you stop with that?! –said laughing. _Come on. You are always full of attitude and style and, see you up there shaking your ass, is really funny. _Come up here! –said smiling. We helped her climb up the stage... _You’re only wearing your cowboy hat. Where are your cowboy clothes? –asked. _I’m working so blue jeans, black boots and this shirt are fine. _Are you still saying that you weren’t singing that day? – I asked. _Yep. _Come on! _Duncan don’t start, ok? got inpatient and put an end on that... _STOP BOTH OF YOU! Look, you can’t hide anymore. It was you. _Man, you’re so annoying. _Really? “This time girl I’ve had enough. you’re too hot to handle with kid gloves. It’s too late, I hear a knock on the door, the game’s over baby I can’t take it no more...”. took one of the guitars on stage and handed it to her. She looked at all of us... _“Breakout”, fair enough. You win! _What do you mean? –asked all excited. _You want me to sing so I’m gonna sing. Can you lend me your band? _Yes! – we said at the same time. She took the guitar and went to talk to our band. 5 minutes later she came close to the microphone... _Well, I need back vocals. Could you please do it? _What are you gonna sing? –asked. _“Born To Be My Baby”. _Bon Jovi, of course! –joked. _Fine by me. Tell me when I have to start. –answered thrilled. We set all the details and finallystarted...
2,3,4 (Na, na, na, na, na, na) Rainy night and we worked all day We both got jobs cause there’s bills to pay But we got something they can’t take away Our love, our lives So close the door, leave the cold outside I don’t need nothing when I’m by your side We got something that’ll never die Our dreams, our pride My heart beats like a drum (all night) Flesh to flesh, one to one (and it’s alright) And I’ll never let go cause there’s something I know deep inside You were born to be my baby And baby, I was made to be your man We got something to believe in, even if we don’t know where we stand Only God would know the reasons But I bet He must have had a plan ‘Cause you were born to be my baby And baby, I was made to be your man Light a candle blow the world away Table for two on a TV tray It ain’t fancy baby that’s ok Our time, our way So hold me close better hang on tight Buckle up baby, it’s a bumpy ride We’re two kids hitching down the road of life Our world, our flight If we stand side by side (all night) There’s a chance we’ll get by (and it’s alright) And I’ll know that you’ll be live in my heart till the day that I die ‘Cause you were born to be my baby And baby I was made to be your man We got something to believe in even if we don’t know where we stand Only God would know the reasons But I bet He must have had a plan ‘Cause you were born to be my baby And baby I was made to be your man (Solo)
It was amazing! That guitar solo was fantastic!was definitively born to perform. She knew how to stay on stage, had presence and didn’t get intimidated by us or anyone there watching. I looked at the lads and by’s face, I guess he was thinking the same as I.andwere amazed and having fun supporting her. I looked at our dancers and they were all smiling, dancing and singing along with her...
And my heart beats like a drum (all night) Flesh to flesh, one to one (and it’s alright) And I’ll never let go ‘cause there’s something I know deep inside You were born to be my baby And baby I was made to be your man We got something to believe in even if we don’t know where we stand Only God would know the reasons But I bet He must have had a plan ‘Cause you were born to be my baby And baby I was made to be your man You were born to be my baby And baby I was made to be your man (Na na na na na na)

Chapter 4

_Are you happy now? –asked laughing.
_It was simply amazing! – I said all excited.
_Thank you. “I walk these streets, a loaded six string on my back, I play for keeps ‘cause I might not
make it back...”
_You’re better than great or amazing. I don’t have words to describe what you were on stage, “young gun”.
By the way, what you just said is from “Wanted Dead Or Alive”. – said thrilled.
_Look, I’m really having fun here with you guys but I have to go back to work.
left the stage and we all followed her.made a sign to our manager and he went to talk to her....
_Hi my name is Johnny.
_.
They shook hands and we saw a great opportunity coming...
_you have a big potential. Better, you were born to sing so, I was thinking that maybe you
could meet me and my crew tomorrow to talk about a possible record deal. What do you say?
We were more nervous than her. That was her big chance!gave that beautiful smile...
_Thanks but no thanks.
_Look, if you’re not sure about it I give you a time to think. Here is my card so, when you decide what
to do just call me.
took the card and our manager walked away. She looked at it for a few minutes and then went
outside...
_Are you insane?! –asked shocked.
_Why? What have I done?
_Girl, don’t act like you don’t know! YOU REFUSED A RECORD DEAL! –yelled.
_So what? I don’t want it.
_Why?
_Look, I’m just a simple girl. I don’t wanna have the same life as you. “I don’t need a Guru to tell me
what to do when you’re feeling like a headline on yesterday’s news...”
_Don’t throw “Something For The Pain” on our faces. If you sign it you can get everything you
want! –said in disbelief.
_And maybe be free from... – I said.
_Drugs? Is that it?
interrupted me looking straight into my eyes...
_Are you trying to mold me? That’s the reason why you and your mates break your cars all the
time? To keep your eyes on me? I accept all of you the way you are and, from the beginning, you wanna
change me? You wanna make me be someone like the girls you hang with? Sorry boys but this is who I am!
I know I’m wrong hurting myself with drugs and alcohol, and I know I need to stop or soon I’ll be dead!
Of course I need help, but giving me money or setting me up for record deals is not a good way. You don’t
know anything about me.
_don’t be stupid! You have a great talent.
I was serious when I said that. She looked at the floor, I thought she was crying, my heart was already
breaking feeling guilty for what I did when she raised her head. was laughing and I got surprised...
_“I won’t lie to you I’m never gonna cry to you, I’ll probably drive you wild 8 days a week...”.
_“I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead”. –remarked.
_’s car is fine now. Just be careful next time you break something ‘cause you almost lost your breaks
and that could cause a tragedy.
She got in her truck and left us there...
_THIS IS STUPID, MAN! SHE CAN’T LET THIS CHANCE PASS! –yelled.
_Apparently she doesn’t mind. – I said in disbelief.
We went back inside and carried on rehearsing. Not even our dancers believed in whathad done.
That night we performed but all the time I thought about “young gun”. After the concert I went home
but I couldn’t sleep so, I had an idea. I calledand told him to come to my house with the others
and bring all his Bon Jovi’s CDs. I went to my computer and found all Bon Jovi’s lyrics, printed them and
made a little book. The lads were so curious that they showed up in less than 30 minutes...
_What’s up? –inquired still in pajamas.
_I had an idea to try to convinceaccept Johnny’s proposal.
_What you gonna do? –wondered.
_Well, I have here all Bon Jovi’s lyrics so, I think if I talk to her through them she’ll be convinced.
_You think it’ll work? –asked.
_I don’t know but she worthies the try.
_Are you sure?
I just nodded...
_Ok, let’s start then.
put the CD on and I started to “learn” a new way to talk to her. Me and the guys spent the whole
night listening to Bon Jovi and on the next day, around 1pm, I went to the garage to talk to...
_What brings you here?
_I wanna talk to you.
_Let’s go to the side street.
She opened the door...
_Talk.
_Why don’t you take the chance to change your life?
_I don’t need that. I don’t want that. I’m fine the way I am.
_I know you’re fine the way you are but you could be better.
_“Thursdays, fridays ain’t been kind but somehow I’ll survive...”.
I took the little book and started to search for what she just said...
_Found it! “Someday I’ll Be Saturday Night”.
She just stared at me...
_Look, you need to move on with your life. “I know Rome’s still burning though the times have changed.
This world keeps turning round...”.
_“These Days”... anyway, I don’t think that having a record deal is a good thing for me.
_Why not? Maybe you could do it till you get enough money to open your own garage.
_Could you leave all your life behind you?
_That’s what I did. I moved on, I left my old life and started a new one.
_Man, this is too much. I can’t handle all this.
_You don’t have to take all that serious, I mean “you should have as much fun as you can in your clothes...”.
_“One Wild Night”.... well, but I don’t wanna live your life.
_, just get in the game.
_“This ain’t no game! I play it hard, kicked around, cut, stitched and scarred. I’ll take the hit but not the
fall, I know no fear, still standing tall. You can call it karma, call it luck. Me, I just don’t give a f***...”.
_Right.... “Bounce”... but you know it’s not like that. You do give a f***! If you didn’t you wouldn’t have
gone to my house that night. You didn’t wanna die and I can see now that you still don’t want. “There's
no living in the backseat if you're gonna drive through town...”.
_“Stick To Your Guns”... well I don’t wanna be famous. All I want is peace.
_“Close your eyes and see my blue skies breaking through these dark clouds, you are the light. In my mind
I see your red dress and your arms are reaching through the night. I’ll never give up the fight...”
_Ok, “The Distance” but come on, don’t insist. I’m not like you, I can’t leave everything behind
me. “I wish that I could be in some other time and place with someone else’s soul, someone else’s face...”
“Young gun” got quite with “Someday I’ll Be Saturday Night”...
_You are. A beautiful “cowgirl” from New Jersey who has an incredible voice and a strong
personality. Do you wanna live here in this neighborhood forever? Do you wanna go to bed sometimes
starving ‘cause you have nothing to eat?
_“We’ve gotta hold on to what we’ve got ‘cause it doesn’t make a difference if we’ll make it or not...”
_You don’t need to keep “Livin’ On A Prayer”, and you can have much more than you got now.
_, just leave me ok?
_I won’t!
_Please. Just go home.
_I have nothing to do at home.
_SO GO TO SLEEP!
_“I’LL SLEEP WHEN I’M DEAD...”!
I never should have said that.opened the door to go inside the garage when suddenly I heard a
boom. Do you know what happened? No, nothing happened with . Happened with me! Two
guys came after her and one of them were aiming a 9mm on her head and, at the exact moment she
moved away from me, the guy pulled the trigger. He shot 4 times. The first 2 hit me! One in my right
shoulder and the other sideswiped my left arm. I fell and started to feel my body warm inside ...
_!! SHIT!
_What happened “Bella”?!
_CALL AN AMBULANCE MR. MASTRANGELO! HURRY UP!
leaned my head on her legs and took my hand...
_“One shot to make a move now... the ghosts are calling me out...”.
I smiled and blacked out. 8 hours later I woke up and saw sat next me...
_“Young Gun”...
_Hey. Are you ok?
_I’m kinda dizzy and my shoulder’s aching a bit. What time is it?
_9:30pm.
She ran her fingers through my hair, smiled and went to call the lads...
_Hey. You scared us. –said concerned.
_Sorry mates.
_That’s ok man. You’re alive and you’re gonna be fine, that’s all that matters. –said trying to look
calm.
_Didtell you what happened?
_Yes. She’s felling guilty about it. –answered.
_But it wasn’t her fault. – I defended her.
_We know that but she can’t help feeling this way. You were shot in front of her, she’s scared.
I felt sad and just looked down...
_Well, we have to go now mate. Rest a lot and get well soon. – said standing up.
_Ok guys, thanks.
They left and 5 minutes later I fell asleep. At 2:15am I woke up thirsty and to my surprisewas
sleeping on a chair beside my bed covered with her overcoat. I just smiled and watched her for a few
minutes ‘till she wake up. When “young gun” saw me with my eyes opened she quickly stood up fixing
her hair...
_What happened? Are you ok?
_I’m fine. I’m just thirsty.
_I’ll get you some water.
She cared about me. She was there taking care of me. Suddenly, all that fear I had about being with her
disappeared...
_Here. Drink it slow.
_Thanks.
She ran her fingers through my hair...
_Are you feeling better?
_Yes, just my shoulder is bothering me a bit.
_The doctor said that everything is gonna be fine. You didn’t have any serious trauma though the bullet
entered your shoulder. They could remove it with no complications. The only thing now is wait for the
wound to heal and you’re gonna have a scar.
_I’m gonna look like a renegade, hu?
smiled but I could see she was worried about what happened...
_I remember that you said something before I blacked out. What was that?
_Just something from “Two Story Town”, I can’t remember what was now.
_Were you here all night?
_Yes. I askedto bring some clothes to me. I didn’t want to leave you here alone.
_Did anyone call my family?
_did. Your mother is gonna be here tomorrow. Don’t worry.
I handed her the glass. She kissed my forehead and boy, that felt really good. Then she sat down again...
_Aren’t you tired “young gun”?
_Not much. I’m more worried about you than tired.
Hear that was great. I don’t know why I let that fear take over me, it was stupid. I wanted to be with her,
know her better and maybe fall in love with her. I had to stay in the hospital for 2 weeks and all that time
was by my side smiling, easing my pain and making my bad thoughts disappear in a second but
the day I left the hospital she wasn’t there. I thought I’d find her in my house ‘cause I knew the guys would
throw me a “Welcome Back Party” ...
_Welcome mate. –said smiling.
_Is really good to be back! No more hospital food or that uncomfortable bed.
All my friends were there. Half hour later, after being sure that I was fine my mom left and let me enjoy the
party a little bit...
_come here! – I called.
_What’s up mate?
_Where’s Serenity?
_To tell the truth I don’t know. We called her, we even went to her house but she wasn’t there.
_This is weird, she knew I’d come home today. What if those guys got her?
_Hey, she must be fine. If this had happened we’d already know. Bad news travels fast. I bet she’ll show up later.
tried to tranquilize me but I wasn’t sure. When everybody left, the lads and I were talking and seeing
how many flowers, cards and fruit baskets I got...
_Man, people have no imagination! Well, at least you won’t have to buy fruits for 2 months. –joked.
We were laughing when suddenly, the doorbell rang. I had hopes thatwas at the door...
_Don’t worry. I’ll get it.
_Thanks.
2 minutes later...
_Who was there? – I asked curious.
_A guy delivered that.
handed me a big blue box...
_What is this?
_I don’t know.
I opened the box really slow and then I had a surprise. There was a black cowboy hat inside...
_! – we all said.
_There’s a note here.

“Hey,

How are you today? I guess you’re feeling great ‘cause you’re finally back home. As you can see I couldn’t
be there for your “Welcome Home Party” and when you read this I’ll probably be far away from London. I
need to think about some things that happened in my life. I hope you’re not mad ‘cause I hate to see that
wrinkle on your forehead when you’re upset and I wouldn’t like to know that I cause that on you. Anyway,
I hope you had enjoyed the party and I wish lots of luck in your career. I think you deserve good things in
your life. Well, I guess this is it, I better leave you now.

"The river of your hope is flooding and I know the dam is busted. If you need me I’ll come running, I
won’t let you down..."

I hope you don’t forget me too soon,
– ‘Young Gun’.

P.S_ That song was “Miracle”. I’m telling you now before you ask .”

I smiled for a moment but then hit me, she was gone...

Chapter 5

_She left! – I said in disbelief.
_When? Why? –asked.
_ I don’t know! She said she needed to think about some things.
_ Maybe she didn’t leave yet. –stood up.
_ Let’s go to her flat.
grabbed his car keys and we went to look for.didn’t buy that story of her being
already far from London. We entered in the small building and knocked on her door...
_ Can I help you? – I guy answered the door.
I felt jealous. I thought that maybe he was a boyfriend or something...
_ We’re looking for. – I said.
_ Who?
_. The girl who lives here. –answered.
_ The “cowgirl”? Well, she doesn’t live here anymore. I bought this flat 5 days ago.
_ Do you know where she is? – I sounded desperate.
_ Sorry mate. All I know is that she wanted me to pay her in cash.
_ Thanks, anyway. –said politely.
The guy closed the door and we left the building...
_ Come on. There’s nothing we can do. –said.
_Let’s go to the garage. Maybe she’s there fixing some car.
So we went straight to the garage...
_Mr. Mastrangelo, could you call, please? – I asked.
_Sorry boy but she’s not here.
_Where is she? – I was really desperate at that time.
_I don’t know. The girl quit yesterday and didn’t give me a reason for that.
_Did she say where she was going?
_To the hospital to be with you. I didn’t see her after that. I don’t know what happened, all I know is that I
lost my best mechanic and a good friend.
_Sorry and thanks, Mr. Mastrangelo.
We went back to my place. I couldn’t believe that “young gun” left us, LEFT ME! 8 months went by and I
was fully recovered. The guy who shot me was arrested and we discovered he was the same who shot our bus.
Since the day I left the hospital, I hadn’t heard from. I really wanted to see her, I was missing the girl,
mostly her smile. We were in LA to shoot a video and in one of our breaks we went to a diner to eat something...
_Who’s up to clubbing tonight? –asked.
_I AM! –,and I shouted.
We were laughing and chatting when the radio started to play “Someday I’ll Be Saturday Night”. Our smiles
faded away...
_Where “young gun” must be? –asked a bit sad.
_I wish I knew it. – I answered sad as well.
anddidn’t say a word.and I just listened to the song and suddenly we realized something....
_Did you hear what Jon Bon Jovi just said? – I asked.
_“I wish that I could be in some other time and place with someone else’s soul, someone else’s face...” –
answered.
_She already did that. She left USA to live Billy The Kid’s life.
_She tried all she could to have a renegade soul. –added.
_Maybe she got back from where she started.
and I looked at each other and yelled at the same time...
_NEW JERSEY!
_Well, we have a few days off, do you know? –said smiling.
_We could try to find her in Jersey. –said a bit excited.
I agreed and we all left the place. We talked to our manager and he agreed that we could do anything we want
on those days. The next day we took a flight to New Jersey and once we arrived we started to look for
everywhere we could. We went to garages, bars, clubs... We even went to a Bon Jovi concert to see if she was
there but we couldn’t find her. It was so frustrating! I guess you all know the feeling, it’s indescribable! Well,
me and the lads went to a club on our last night there...
_I can’t believe we couldn’t find her. – I cried.
_I know, is so frustrating. –said.
We were sat in the bar drinking when the DJ presented the local band...
_Well people, it’s time to have some “live fun”. As you know, every Friday there’s a band playing here and
tonight is no different. So everybody, here’s “Crucial”!
We kept on drinking when suddenly we heard something familiar...

This ain’t a song for the broken-hearted No silent prayer for the faith-departed I ain’t gonna be just a face in the crowd You’re gonna hear my voice When I shout it out loud...
We all turned around at the same time and almost falling from our chairs... _Are you seeing what I’m seeing? – I asked. _If you’re seeing “young gun” on stage singing “It’s My Life” so, we all are seeing what you’re seeing. answered without looking at me.was on stage more beautiful than before and still with the cowboy style. She was dressing a long blue jean skirt with a slit on the front, brown boots and a moss – green corset with a white blouse underneath it. We watched the whole show and after 45 minutes, thanked everybody and left the stage. We didn’t waste anymore time and went to talk to her... _! We yelled and she turned around really slow. She was mouth opened and after getting back to reality, she answered the same way she did the first time we saw her... _Aww...! This time we laughed, we were happy seeing her again... _What are you doing here? – I asked. _I’m the one who should be asking you that. _We’re here looking for you. –said giving her a hug. _Now you found me! _And we are really happy about it. _So, that’s what you’re doing with your life? –asked. _Not exactly. _You wasted a record deal to sing in a club? –asked in disbelief. exhaled and led us to a table where we could talk... _I’m not singing here for real. The lead singer is sick and the drummer, who’s a good friend of mine, asked me if I could be in her place. “A friend of a friend needs a favor. No questions asked, there's not much more to say...”. Beforecould say anything I said... _“Right Side Of Wrong”. _I guess you’re spending too much time with! –joked. laughed. How I missed the sound of her laugh, her smile... _Well boys. I’m glad you’re here. _This is good but, we wanna take you back with us. – I said. _I can’t go back. I’m here only 8 months, I’m settled. I have a job, a house and I’m living straight. _What do you mean? –asked curious. _I’m clean. There’s no drugs in my system anymore. _That’s wonderful girl! –congratulated. _It was too bad that I could only realize my mistakes when got shot. She ran her fingers on her neck, took off her necklace and handed me. I saw that she was using a gun bullet as a pendent... _Do you know what it is? _It’s a gun bullet. _Yeah, from the 9mm that hit your shoulder. _What?! – we all asked at the same time. _It reminds me why I had to stop to use drugs. You were shot ‘cause I did something wrong. This bullet reminds me that instead of your shoulder it could be in my head and I could be 6 feet under right now. _was lucky for you being short. –joked. We all laughed again... _Anyway “young gun”, we still wanna take you back to London. – said. _You really didn’t take that record deal thing out of your heads, did you? _No! – we said all together. _We still don’t understand why you’re so afraid. Any girl in your place will be happy about it. –tried to convince her. took a deep breath... _Look, I’ve been through it once and I know exactly what you’re talking about. _What did you say? – I inquired. _Before my father marry my mother he was in a band. When I was 8 he gave me his guitar and started to give me some lessons. When I was 15 I had my own band called “Amazons”, we were 5 girls having fun all the time going to places that no one under 18 could enter with no problems. When I turned 18, we were playing at “X’s and O’s”, a guy came to me and said the same things your manager said. I took the chance, I was making my dream come true. They prepared me to be a real “star”. I rehearsed 10 hours a day, everyday but Sunday for 6 months. I was totally ready to sign my first record deal when my life turned around. One day I came home from the studio and one of my dad’s employees told me that he had a heart attack and died. I didn’t know what to do, I was completely lost! My manager gave me 2 weeks to put things back on its feet but, before this time off come to an end, my mom couldn’t handle being without my father and killed herself. I never looked for my manager after that, I sold my dad’s garage, my house and took a plane to London not knowing what to do there. I needed people around me but I was alone all the time. I couldn’t get a job, I was getting depressed so to run away from my problems I started to use drugs. I never felt sorry for myself or anything, I just kept praying for God send me someone who could help me when I really needed and He didn’t send one only person... He sent me 4 wonderful angels. “Father please believe me I am laying down my guns. I am broken like an arrow. Forgive me, forgive your wayward son...” I was touched so as the lads. We were mouth opened. Serenity told the whole story without shading a tear, she was smiling and for the first time opening her heart... _If singing is your dream why don’t you take this chance again? –asked. _I don’t know. I’m afraid that something bad happen when I get almost there. _“Young gun”, nothing bad is gonna happen. When you get there we’ll be by your side supporting you. You don’t have to be afraid. You just have to do what you’ve been doing through this years. – I comfort her. _What? – she asked clueless. _“Keep The Faith”. –answered. _So, what do you say? –asked full of hope. _I don’t know... _Hey, I’m sure Billy The Kid wouldn’t be afraid of that! -teased. laughed... _Ok boys. I’ll go to London with you. We all hugged her... _Can I ask you something? – I asked. _Shoot! _We looked for you in all the garages in here, why we didn’t find you? _Well, I’m still a mechanic but right now I’m a secretary in a doctor’s office. – she answered really ashamed. We carried on dancing all night celebrating her new life. 2 days later we were back in UK,found a new place to live and started to work really hard. One day and I went to visit her... _Hey strangers! _How are you “young gun”? – we greeted. _I’m really great. I’m trying to choose a song to be my first single. _Are you gonna make a cover? –asked. _Yeah, Johnny thought it’d be better this way. We looked at the table in the living room and there were a bunch of songs. I sat on the couch and realized that there was something under me. It was a Bon Jovi’s CD case then I had a brilliant idea... _, why don’t you record “Keep The Faith”? _Yeah. It’s a great idea. –agreed. _I’m gonna call Johnny! Of course he agreed with that, the idea came from me! Well, recorded the song and her first appearance was in one of our concerts. Me and the lads were really excited about it. We were waiting for her to leave the dressing room and when she appeared she was beautiful. She was wearing tight light blue jeans, a brown corset with a brown overcoat, brown cowboy boots and a brown cowboy hat... _RIDE COWBOY RIDE! –yelled _This is one of Jon Bon Jovi’s songs, did you now that? _Yeas I did. I guess I’m hanging withway too much! _Your gorgeous. –said taking her hands. _Thanks. _Go there “young gun”. Show them that there’s a new sheriff in town! -gave her a hug. _I’m nervous. _Don’t be! We’re here. I’m here. – I took her hands and she smiled. _I want to scream, run away... _Hey, don’t say that. You’ll be fine out there. _“It feels like there’s a stranger standing in these shoes, but I know I can’t loose me ‘cause then I’d be losing you...” “Lie To Me” , that was the song. I gave her a hug that lasted for a long time... _, you’ll be on stage in 5 minutes. – one of the assistants warned. _This is it! Go get them “young gun”... She closed her eyes, took a deep breath and put her arms around my waist. I thought she was going to hug me again but I was wrong.came close and kissed me. When I felt her lips against mine I can say that I was in heaven... _What was that? _Thank you for everything. You really didn’t give up the fight. ran to the stage and I was smiling like an idiot. The MC introduced her and finally her day came, the day she’d make her dream come true...
