Something About His Eyes Chapter 1
Some tears rolled down his cheek s he woke up in a dark alley with a huge headache, he walked ‘till the main street and kept walking in a stumbling way. Everyone who passed by him had the same weird look in the eyes like he was on drugs or was stealing something. As the hours went by he was feeling tired and cold ‘cause his shirt was half torn and he was only wearing his jeans with no shoes on his feet; that was making him look even worst. His messed hair on his face and the unshaved beard were just another plus to his drugged look. He stopped in front of two houses, both with the lights on. He was thirsty and feeling hungry so he decided to ask to someone in the house for food or something since he had no money at all and people on the streets avoided his pleads; something was telling him to go to the house on his left so he went up the door steps and rang the door bell. He felt some water drops falling on him and crossed his arms ‘cause of the cold. The owner of the house walked till her living room window and since it was almost 1am, she pulled the curtains and saw a guy looking cold, she ran to open the door. _In what I can help you? – she asked shocked with the vibratingeyes of the guy. _Can you give me a glass of water or something to eat? – he asked with a shivering voice. _Of course… come in! She walked him till her kitchen and gave him a hot cup of coffee. _’I’ll be right back! – she said and ran to her closet – Here. She said giving him a big black overcoat. _No, thank you… you’ve done enough for me already. That was the first time she heard his voice properly and she felt a cold down her spine. _No, you can have it… you look cold… _Thank you… what’s your name? – he asked as she was waiting for the food in the microwave to be ready. _, but call me. _Thank you, you’re the only one who helped me when everyone was looking at me like I was a piece of shit. _So… don’t worry about it… they are shit for doing that. – she said and both laughed. – But what’s your name and what are you doing on the streets in this cold? ‘Cause you don’t look like a homeless… He just put the coat on and kept drinking his coffee as she waited for his answer.
