Blue Ridge Agility club is a
non-profit group formed in January of 1992 by some dog enthusiasts in the
Western North Carolina area.
Our purpose is to foster and
promote the growth of dog agility for all dogs
and serve as a method of communication between agility enthusiasts in the Western
Carolinas.
Our mission is to educate
the public about the sport of agility and the importance of responsible dog
ownership and training. We encourage safety, sportsmanship and
positive training in all levels of agility.
We regularly host dog
agility trials, which are open to the public, and offer clinics with
professional trainers to our members. We have held fund raising matches
for Hurricane Katrina disaster relief (in conjunction with the Asheville
Kennel Club) as well as the Humane Alliance in Asheville.
We do not offer training classes.
