...The Rose Dress was not featured in the final cut of any of the Lord of the Rings Movies but has been seen in numerous behind the scenes featurettes. I first saw it on AlleyCatScratch.com in August, 2002, when I was looking for a dress to make for the Maryland Renaissance Festival. It was perfect, and thus my first costume that I have ever made. (Well, the first one that I had ever sewn.) The ironic thing is that I had drawn a sketch of a dress I wanted to make long before LOTR came out, something that I came up with. I had forgotten all about it for a long time and went about making my Rose Gown, and it wasn't until I had finished that I found my sketch and it looks a lot like the Rose Gown.
