Plotting the next project to tackle.

(Yes, I have the Texas flag on my head...)

...This section of the web is basically the section of "soon to comes" and cool news, to post updates to projects that I will be working on, and, as they're being done, added to the website. Also you can find updates on  my current costume projects, and other cool things here. (The list below lists all of our next projects.) One other thing, these are just my LOTR costumes, there is a link on the main page to the new site with all our OTHER costumes.
For a full list of Webpage updates and Costume Progress, just scroll down past out list of costumes.

Here is our current list of LOTR costumes that we are thinking of making. The list tends to expand and contract. *g*

Costume Progress:

Webpage Updates:

July 03, 2005 - Brynn's got a new belly-dance costume! She wore it to both days of the Celt Fest as well as to The Columbia Arts Fest and one other place. It turned out *awesome*. Once I've got all the Celt Fest pics up and running, I'm going to upload the pics of her outfit. Should be up by the end of the weekend. I've got a few new ones myself, but those pages will have to wait another couple of weeks or so, hehe.

April 9, 2005 - Brynn got her Marian dress all done, it looks great. I doubt if we'll have time to post photos of it before we leave...then again maybe we should because I'm sure with the amount of costume pics we take, I'm going to be scanning for days when we get home! *sigh*
My costumes are pretty much done, just the tedious finishing part remains...oh joy. Last week I got a little carried away with a costume as I've had some awesome news for this coming June. Will post more on that later. ;-) The costume is all finished, I can't believe it, and it turned out better than I thought it would, being rather hard on myself.

March 8, 2005 - We've been costuming like mad here lately, though I have no time to really add any pics to the site. They're mostly stuff for the costume business as well as a couple of things we plan on wearing to Scarborough next month. When I have some time, we'll post pages for them I promise. :-)

February 28, 2005 - I started work on the  Blue Battle Dress from King Arthur on Wednesday. It's nearly done (can't believe it!) I'll try to have it finished by next week. Brynn has started work on a Celtic Riding Outfit that she has designed herself, and the bodice for that is also nearly done. It looks awesome so far!

February 12, 2005 - Finished up the Irish Lass Wench Outfit. It turned out a lot better than I had originally thought. The page for it is now up and running over at Brandyleaf Costumes. :-)

January 27, 2005 - All the costume updates for now are over at BrandyleafCostume. There are several new ones and more coming. We've also started work on more LOTR ones as well.

October 14, 2004 - For the first time in two years I have not really been doing much costuming. Brynn on the other hand has been cranking things out, so, once things wind down here soon, we're going to be puting up pages with her Galadrial gown, the hobbit gown she did, and the pirate outfit she made for Pirate Invasion weekend. My Black Pearl Gown from POTC was finally finished three weeks ago, so I will be adding more pics of that shortly. As well as the Highland outfit I did. I'm actually wearing the Black Pearl Gown this weekend to the Ren Fest, Brynn's wearing her Funeral Garb. Check back soon, I promise!

August 24, 2004 September 3, 2004 - Brynn has started work on her Mirror dress which she hopes to have done in a week or two. We'll post a page when that's done.

August 24, 2004 - Brynn has recently started on her first hobbit lass costume to wear to the Renn Fest this coming Saturday. Lucky for her, she has just now finished it and it's all ready to wear. A page a pics will come shortly!

August 24, 2004 - Brynn started work on the Pippin Gondorian Armor about two weeks ago. So far she has gotten the helmet nearly done (it's done, save for minor details) and has made her sword scabbard for the sword. It's looking awesome already! I still have yet to really start on mine, and I have just three days. Ha Ha, we'll see if it actually gets done, man I hope it does! Though mine's not a LOTR costume....we'll still post a page with pics though.

August 10, 2004 - Ahhh! Finally! I walked into JoAnn's today and found, I wasn't even looking, fabric for the White Wool Gown!! I am SOOO happy, it's crepe and JUST what I was looking for!! This has been boosted back to the top of my list of costumes to do. :-)   Happy Happy Happy.....

August 6, 2004 - We've returned from our trip to see Kristen and Lauren in NH as well as the LOTR Boston exhibit!!! AMAZING fun we had, lot's of photos coming soon, I promise! We miss you guys SO much!!

July 19, 2004 - Finally, a costume update!! Brynn has started work on her first hobbit costume. She's really excited, it's not really based on anything from LOTR, but, it's the same style female hobbit outfit. Photos and a page coming soon! Also news of note, I made a brand new Mourning Gown Crown, though I have still yet to go out and take "finished" Mourn Gown pics. I'll try to get those up soon as well. Lastly, I started work on the Faramir costume again, I have a few more pieces to work on, I really would like to have that costume done in the Fall.

March 8, 2004 - Costuming (at leat for me!) has not been going all that well over her. :-/ I've had to put the "Faramir's Ranger" costume on hold for a while, I don't have the time for all the details at the moment. (Or the funds for the leather!! LOL) However, the cloak (page for this is up) as well as the dark green tunic are finished, I just need to get a page up for that part. Then I tried to start the White Wool - what a nightmare! The material I had (some wool-looking poly)WOULD NOT STOP FRAYING, anyway, I got sick of it and chucked the thing into the scrap pile. This did not make me very happy! So, I've decided to do a couple of other costumes for now. One, I've just finised ripping off the sleeves of my finished Mourning Gown and added gorgeous blue lining to the inside of them. I can't belive I had the nerve to do this, but, it worked fine! Next I'm getting some nice red silk or satin to make a better belt. The other costume I plan on working on here shortly is Rosie's party outfit. I'm going to be using Alleycatscratch's Hobbit Skirt Pattern, and I have my patterns for the bodice and shirt. When I went into JoAnn's last weekend, I found the *perfect* stuff for the front part of the bodice, so now I'm getting excited about costuming again. :-) While at the same time I'm going to be on the look-out for better White Wool materials. As for my sister, her Funeral Garb came out *BEAUTIFUL*, I'm so proud of her!! She is currently working on the crown as well as the belt, though she is almost finished with those. The gown and necklace are completely done. We have made the page for this, but we have not published it yet. Soon!!

February 13, 2004 - We're working on more costumes. Brynn is currently putting the final finishing touches to her Pippin costume, she just made some cute suspenders. She is also almost done with her Funeral Garb, a page on this coming really soon! I'm working on a Rohan banner that is almost done, I would like to try and finish it this weekend. I've been working on a few other things that are non-LOTR, and I've been working on a new site for these costumes, though that page will not be up for at least another month. The Faramir costume is also going to be worked on this weekend, and then once I'm done with my Rohan banner, I'm making Arwen's Bedroom Banner for Brynn's B-day. I'm a little nervous about that one!

January 27, 2004 - NEW COSTUMES: OK, so the banners aren't costumes, but...they're close enough. The Gondorian banner for the window (to block the draft) was completed a week or two ago, I'm getting the pics developed tomorrow and hopefully the page up as well. Also, got to work right away with Faramir's Ranger outfit, so far I have his cloak and the dark green tunic completely finished. Narsil (the sword) came in the mail also, I'm going to get pics of that up as well. :-)Sweet blade. Let's see, what else...Brynn's chainmaille links came in, so she's going to be starting on Pippin's hauberk for the Gondorian outfit, as well as another costume. Also, she bought Sting (Frodo's sword) and that came in, it's SO cute, I want one myself!! We need to get a page up of all our medieval weapons. I finally got around to making a Rohan banner, as well, this is halfway done, I'm stitching every little piece of Celtic design on there, it's a bit tedious so I hope it turns out when it's done. :-/ One last thing, I bought material for my White Wool, and will be starting that (in addition to the Faramir one) in a couple of weeks, or less. Lot's of stuff going on!

January 7, 2004 - *New costume alsmot done* Actually it's a draft-blocking Gondorian banner made out of fleece. More to come on this soon, I will be posting pics and info later this week. :-)

November 18, 2005- Finally, the last of the MDRF photos including the Day of Wrong are up and running over at the MDRF page. *sigh of relief* There were quite a lot this year! Also, we've got quite a few updates over at StrikeDaekins.com with lot's more coming next week. Have a great weekend!

November 14, 2005- Just a quick update for now as I don't have a whole lot of time to devote to online endevours today. I have added a Lord of the Rings item to the Strike Daekins website, and is up for auction here. It is a Rohan-inspired sweatshirt; there are detailed pics and info as well.

November 2, 2005- More MDRF pics are up and running here. This latest post is from Shakespeare Weekend. I have one final weekend left to upload, that should be in the next few days. I'll keep ya posted!

October 25, 2005- I just realized that GBS's new album is out today, so guess where I'm headed after I'm through with the web-posts? *g* I know St. Paddy's day is many months away, but when you're Irish, it's a major holiday. :-D So....having seen them once already on March 17th, it's something that I badly want to do again. I am plotting the possibility of heading out of town with some friends to see them in 2006. That would be a night to remember.....Alex, if you see this before I e-mail you, wanna head East? *bg*
OK, yeah, spiraling! Web updates! I got around to posting the pics from October 9th at the MD Renn Faire. The Faire ended on Sunday, I had an awesome time going with Tatiana again. Brynn, I missed you terribly, though! The Day of Wrong was awesome, I have yet to go through and edit all the pics. If anyone is wondering, I was the belly-dancing Caps fan that day. Actually, I didn't really take very many pics from closing weekend, but there are a ton from Shakespeare weekend that I am still sifting through. There are some amazing shots of the sunset that I am eager to post. One of them, in fact, I am blowing up and framing to hang in my bedroom. It's so stark and cold-looking. :-) I'll keep ya posted.

October 19, 2005-
OK, the first half of the pics from the soggy Romance Weekend up at the Faire are up and running over here. The rest of them will be up eventually. ;-) Only one more weekend left - too sad...And more bad news, Brynn will only be able to make it up on Saturday...noooooo! My partner in crime, I'm going to miss her. :-(

October 17, 2005- Kristen just sent us some photos that we took over the weekend of September 10 - 11 at the MDRF faire, so I thought I would post them here. Also, while I was at it, I figured I would go ahead and post a few pics from the rest of that week. The page for those can be viewed here. I am in the progress of uploading the photos from Romance Weekend two weeks ago. We took some neat shots that oh-so-soggy weekend, so I'm hoping to have those up and running here in a day or so. As for the final two weekends of the Faire (next week is the last one, I can't believe it!) I probably won't get to posting those photos until November.
Cheers for now!

October 11, 2005- Greetings! I have just gotten around to posting the pics from the Oktoberfest weekend up at the Faire. I'm still not done yet, these were all from the digital and I took one roll of 35mm film. Not quite sure where the hell it is....so....when I find it and get it developed, I will post those too. I'm still working on this past weekend (Romance Weekend), but as I'm pretty busy, I'm not sure when those will be posted. Let me just tell you, we had the best time we have ever had at the faire this past weekend!! Bring on the rain! For the very few of you who were there on Saturday, I hope you had as much fun as we did!
The 2005 MDRF photos can be viewed at www.marylandrenfairephotos.org/MD2005.htm
One final note, Great Big Sea's new album is out today, and I was very much looking forward to getting it on the 11th. Well, guess what? That is in Canada, I have to wait until the 25th. Doyle..... *sigh* ah well.

September 30, 2005- This wraps up the September updates for 2005. Can't believe it's almost October, where did this year go. At any rate, I'm not sure that the Scottish Weekend photos have been working, so I just fixed the link for those. Also got around to adding the Pirate Invasion pictures from this year as well as a couple of in-progress stills of my latest costume. The 2005 MDRF photos can be viewed at www.marylandrenfairephotos.org/MD2005.htm and the costume photos can be viewed at www.marylandrenfairephotos.org/GraceOMalley.htm
Cheers! Oktoberfest this weekend...mmmmmm

September 27, 2005- I am alive and well, I've just been rather busy with work. Upon receiving a worried phone call from Kristen yesterday, lol, she hadn't heard from me and since my site wasn't updated, she thought the worst. Not the case, all is well on my end, I have the latest batch of MDRF photos to post as a matter of fact. A roll back from Opening Day actually (this one is neat!) and both days from Scottish Weekend. Pirate Invasion is all scanned and ready to go, I just need to upload it to the web. I will have to get to that in a couple of days.

September 15, 2005- Just finished uploading the pages for the latest two weekends from MDRF. We have tons of photos from opening weekend through September 11th, and can be viewed at www.marylandrefairephotos.org

September 14, 2005- Sadly, our wolf pack - I mean dance troupe - has split up again, we saw Kristen off at BWI yesterday morning. :`-(```  What a week we had, though unfortunately it went by way too fast. When we weren't dancing up a dust storm at the Renaissance Faire, we were choreographing every day for a competition in December since we won't be able to see eachother before then. We were outside, too, practicing on local outdoor stages, and the sun was not all that forgiving. By the time our second weekend together to dance at the Ren Faire rolled around, we didn't have that much left to go on, lol!
Now I have a really bad cold and I don't feel like much physical activity, so I'm going to use this time to update the web page while I can.
I took a ton more photos at the faire, I'm still uploading them to the web, but they should be up by the end of the weekend. I got a new Nikon digital camera for my birthday, woohoo!! It was really nice to get dance shots with, but I'm still going to be using the old Cannon as my main camera. Other news of note update-wise, I added finished photos of the Autumn Dance Outfit that can be viewed here.
Check back soon for those MDRF photos!

September 1, 2005- Ahhhh....Maryland Ren Faire has opened, and the weather, at least on Saturday was gorgeous! (Sunday was a muggy hot oven!) I had no idea I was taking so many photos, but....*g* I did. And, I found time to get the first set of them up from last Saturday. I'm still working on Sunday, but I want to get ahead so I don't have to do every weekend all at once, y'know? That's a beast.
We're heading back up on the 3rd...Kristen's flying down!! *g* Can't wait to see you on Monday! Dance dance dance....this will be awesome. Let's hope it's not as hot as Potomac Celt Fest!! UGH. Looks to be really nice, though.
Well, so far, the photos can be viewed over there at our MD Ren Faire site, the link is on the main page. Enjoy! :-)

August 25, 2005- A few updates of note before the weekend hits. First off, I have decided to sell my 'Blue Battle Gown' from the King Arthur movie once it is finished. I will be moving the page for it over to our business site, and either selling it from their or e-bay. My reason for this is: I am quickly running out of closet space in my new room, and while I still really admire the dress, I would most likely only wear it once, if that. The style is just not something I normally would wear myself, so, I plan to sell it once it is finished. I will continue to make it as 'movie accurate' as possible, and then post it for sale. For now, I just wanted to alert my site-goers in case there was someone out there looking to purchase this costume before I actually posted it for sale.
Second on the list while we are talking about available costumes for sale, we will be listing one, maybe two, Red Highland Celtic outfits for sale over at StrikeDaekins.com by the end of the first week of September. If anyone is interested in this outfit before I start to work on it, please email me at costumes@strikedaekins.com for further information about having it possibly custom-made to fit you. (Or visit the page, here.) If you would like to have this custom-made, I would appreciate it if all inquiries were made before Monday, August 29th, 2005. After that, the size available will be one that I select.

OK, now that the business posting is out of the way for now, I just have to happily say: only 2 days until the season opener at Maryland Renaissance Faire!! :-) *woo!* Can't believe it's been a year since the last, time flies...Anyway. Kristen is coming back down for the second two weekends and the Celtic Gypsies will be together dancing again. :-) Fun fun fun. *g* Like I said before, you have been forewarned on the onslaught of new photos, hehehe. Oh, and finally, the second day at PCF 2005 and the Columbia Arts fest are up and running as well.
Cheers! We may see some of you headed up to MD this Saturday. :-)

August 11, 2005- Started work on cleaning up the Maryland Ren Faire pages, dear God there's a lot of moving that needs to be done. :-/ I needed to get a head start before the upcoming season, as it's only a few weeks away and you can expect hundreds more photos from us, as we are camera addicted! Other news of note, I added a few images of another one of my belly dance outfits, that can viewed here. I'm still working on some other things at the moment, but I will try and get both Columbia Arts Fest and the second day of Potomac Celt Fest up and running by the end of the weekend.

August 6, 2005- It's official - our online store is now up and running! We have finally started adding our available costumes to our new business webpage. Over the next month, it will be filled with numerous costumes for sale. So far we only have a few up online, but we are working steadily to get everything uploaded for you. :-) We're very excited! To check out what we have so far, please visit our new link at StrikeDaekins.com Please direct any sales related questions to: costumes@strikedakins.com - we'll be happy to answer them for you.

As for web-updates around the Middle-earth and beyond pages, we have lots of updates here, too. (Man, I need a break!) We've added an entire new section to the list of costumes over at BrandyleafCostumes. Our dance costumes have been taking priority here lately, so they have their own section. I added Brynn's Butterfly costume, and two of my new ones: Ode to Autumn as well as a more simple belly-dance outfit.
It's been over a year since I have done any work on a LOTR costume, and I think that dry-spell will be ending here soon. I plan on actually sitting down and working on the Goldenhall Gown later this fall. So check back often, a lot will be changing around here. Next weekend we're off to the PA Ren Faire, more photos to be added. I still have to get the Celtic Festival and Columbia Arts Fest uploaded....then Maryland is right around the corner. Arrgghhh.
Our troupe is getting back together for a few weekends to dance there. We're really looking forward to this upcoming season! Cheers!

July 10, 2005- I ran out of time last weekend to finish uploading the new webpages. Our 10 year-old bunny, Lucky, passed away in the wee hours of the morning on Sunday, and we went out to our cabin the next day to burry him. It was sad, he's been with us for 8 of those 10 years and will be missed. :-(

As for the rest of the web page updates, I got around to Saturday and the Nite Fest at Potomac Celt Fest 2005 this weekend. I will shoot to get the Sunday page up and running by the end of the day. The link for the Celtic Festival is on the main page. I haven't had a chance to double-check the validity of the photo links on the Nite Fest page, but they should all work. If not, please send me an email so I can fix them. Thanks~

July 03, 2005- I've got lots of new web updates coming this weekend! Potomac Celtic Festival, along with our best friends, have come and gone, *sob* and we partied there all that weekend. There are no words to describe the live Gaelic Storm experience, though I have tried in the pages that are in the process of being uploaded. ;-) I had to re-work the Celt Fest page, since I've turned into a terrible shutter bug over the last four years, and now have tons of pics to post. There are dozens of pics of the Nite Fest with Gaelic Storm, but keep in mind that we were too busy belly-dancing to be entirely concerned with picture taking. What we got are really funky stills off of the video camera we had propped up on their speaker during the tail end of their show, hehe. Despite the low quality, they're still pretty cool.
So, upcoming web updates for this weekend are: Both days of Potomac Celt Fest, Columbia Arts Fest with Gaelic Storm (again), Brynn's Belly-dance outfit, and a scrapbook of some really cool memories from June. There's a lot, so check back, they should all be up and running by the end of tomorrow. (The 4th) While I have some time, y'know? :-)
Cheers!

June 8 2005- Technically, I should be getting ready for my best friends who are coming into town to stay with us this Friday, (we're all going to the festival together this weekend), buutttt, the call of site updating took over, *g*. Before we head to the Celt Fest and tons of pics pile up, I wanted to add the page for the VA Ren Faire 2005. Also, I reworked my Brandyleaf page and added some new pictures to it. The last two pics on there are  amusing, trust me. :-) Potomac Celt Fest is going to be beastly this year, but, well worth it. Cheers!

May 21 2005-Well, finally got around to posting the page with nearly 300 pics of the Texas trip to Scarborough Faire. Not all the the 300 are the faire, though. :-)  See for yourself here: Texas Road Trip '05 (There's a ton more disk space over on my other account.)
Lately, I've had a really frustrating couple of weeks, and things are just now starting to calm. I've been stressed out about a lot of things, and I just don't want to go into them on my website... Anyway, while I have a moment this weekend, I just wanted to add the Scarby Trip page to the main site. Tomorrow, we're headed off down to the VA Ren Faire in Lake Anna, I so badly need a break from things, this is a much needed diversion. :-) Then, our next costumed get-together after that will be the Celtic Festival in June. 3 weeks an counting! Gaelic Storm....*smiles*
Next weekend is Rolling Thunder, and we missed it last year for the first time in 10 years due to the VA Faire...so this year we're heading down and back early. Should be nice weather for it. :-) At any rate, here's to Scarby. Cheers!

May 10 2005- Lot's of new costume pages up and running over at 'Costumes Beyond Middle-earth', plus I've remodeled the entire layout of that page. Everything should be easier to navigate. At least I hope so. Anyway, the new costumes that are up and running are: Marian's Wedding Dress (Robin Hood), Brynn's Gypsy/Highland Outfit, my Highland belly-dance outfit, as well as a page of in progress stills of the 'King Arthur' gown. A few of the photo links on the main page will be down until tomorrow night, I've had it with the computer for the day, hehe. Once all of those new costume shots are uploaded and running, I will started the uploading process for the Scarby trip (yay!) be warned: There are *TONS*. :-D More updates comin' atchya shortly. Peace out!

April 9 2005- Holy jeez! I had NO idea that the main page over at our Maryland Ren Faire site was so horrendous. After I uploaded it back in November, I kind of abandoned it. Last week I was up at my aunt's in MD (hey, Sis!) and was showing her around the sites, when I discovered just how badly it was laid out. Arrrg!! For starters, I do all of my comp work with Windows XP on a new computer, our older machine is out at our cabin. When I viewed the pages on her older machine and operating system, I wanted to die, I was so embarrassed that I had left that untouched for so many months. Everything was jumbled, there was now sense to it, and my spelling mistakes were cringe-worthy. You could tell that the majority of that upload was done between 11:00 PM and 5:00 AM!! (Thank God for 24 hour Afghani take out, lol!)
So, to make a long story short, I went about *hopefully* correcting those main-page problems for ya. It SHOULD be smoother now, though I'll have to check on an older machine here soon to be sure.
I better check everything else out on that page when I have some time. :-)

March 17, 2005 - Added a new Celtic costume over at Brandyleaf Costumes. :-) At some point in time here I'm going to be working on the LOTR costumes again. I miss it. Anyway, hope everyone had a spectacular St. Patrick's Day!!! :-D

March 8, 2005 - At long last our links page has been updated and cleaned up. There are lot's more links and it's easier to navigate - I hope! While I'm in a link-updating mood and you have one you want added, let me know via email at Ice_Hockey_Lass@hotmail.com and we'll add it as soon as we can.I thought it was rather funny that I hadn't touched the link page in two years and when I first wrote the page, we were getting snowed in. Today, coincidentally, we are being snowed in again. So, I just left that whole text body untouched, hehe. ;-)

February 28, 2005 - Finally we got a day to head out to the ocean last weekend, boy did I ever need that! As soon as I pulled into the parking lot at Assateague (sp?) and I smelt the salty breeze (OK, more like stiff wind, but the weather was gorgeously brisk!) I started bouncing around like a little kid. l'm a nut, what can I say? At any rate, I feel energized for the week and right now it's snowing pretty hard outside so I thought I'd post a few updates before I went out in it. (It's so pretty out there right now....) Over at BrandyleafCostumes we added a new costume under "miscellaneous" - it's a riot, you might want to check it out.

February 18, 2005 - Cleaned up the gallery for the first version of the Refugee Dress, also got rid of a lot of the pictures in there, I just needed more space and that was an older costume. (As well as an awful one!) Added the Irish Lass Wench Outfit to the site over at Brandyleaf Costumes. Lot's of pics! We took pictures of the finished costume earlier this week and now finally I added the page to the site.

February 14, 2005 - A year later I finally went out and took pictures of the finished Mourning Gown. Yay! I totally re-worked the page and its photo gallery, and all of the new photos have been posted in there. Hope they all work for ya! :-)

February 11, 2005 - All of the Hobbit Costume pages under "The Shire" have been bothering the living heck out of me for nearly a year now. I wrote all of those very late at night and the spelling errors in there were just *horrendous*. Not to mention the overall lay-out. I've started to fix them one by one, so now Brynn's Hobbit Costume, mine, and the Rosie Cotton costume are all re-worked. They look SO much better! *L* And they're a lot easier to navigate as well. I'm still working on Merry and Pippin, as well as Brynn's latest hobbit outfit.

February 07, 2005 - OK, so you've probably noticed the new layout to the main page by now, right? I got really sick of looking at the old version and decided it was time for a change, though I am anxious to know if others like it or not and if everything works...the message board is always open, or drop me a line here. If all goes well, when the main page loads, there should be a photo of an autumn forest (a photo I took a few years ago out at our country property) across the entire top header - I hope! :-) Also, in the middle of that, there should be the new M.E.C.G. banner. Originally I had an eerie sound effect when the page loaded, but I didn't want to keep you sitting here at your computer all day waiting for the damn thing to load, so, regretfully, I scrapped it. It sounded like the One Ring. Also, I had the page designed so it would fade in, but, once again, the loading issue resurfaced. Ah well. I hope what I decided to keep will work for you! :-)
I also cleaned up a few of  the other pages as well.

January 27, 2005 - Several new costume pages up and running over at the BrandyleafCostumes site. That's where all the updating is at the moment. This weekend though, if I have some time, I will be updating the hell out of this LOTR site. I did discover quite a few broken links on the Brandyleaf page, so those are fixed as well. Until then, cheers! :-D

January 11, 2005 - Cleaned up several of the side pages so things should actually run better now. Fixed the broken links, etc. Pages done so far tonight are: Potomac Celtic Festival 2004, Boston Exhibit 2004, LOTR Costume Day 2004, and Frederick Celt Fest & VA Ren Faire 2004. I've been so busy I forgot to mention that the site has past it's 2 year anniversary!! Whoohoo! :-) January - 3 - 2003 ~ January - 3 -2005
I will be getting some time here soon, I can start to do some major costume page updates. Check back.

November 28, 2004 - TONS of new Maryland Ren-Fest photos online, the updating for that page is complete. We went nine weekends, so there's lot's to take a look at. Pirate Invasion is now up and running as well with pics of the Black Pearl Gown. To go to the new site, click here. Cheers!

November 14, 2004 - Sorry for the long absence, but life has been very full lately. I did however start to update the Maryland Renaissance Festival page quite a bit from this year. There are *hundreds* of pictures from nine weekends this year. Most of the pages are up, !

October 14, 2004 - Sadly, there are only TWO more weekends left for the Maryland Renaissance Festival 2004. I can't belive it. We are going to be posting *tons* of photos from it this year in the next couple of weeks, as we have gone every single weekend since it opened. The final weekend though, we will actually be going both days. Noooo!!! Too sad!! Pirate Invasion was awesome!

October 13, 2004 - I swear, sometimes I REALLY have s@#$ for brians! For one thing, I just have not had any time to update, AT ALL, then yesterday I came online only to find out that ALL of the stuff I put on two months ago DOESN'T WORK. ARRRRGGG!!! Now that I am aware of this, I've started fixing them, and first up and working is the Maryland Ren Fest page, those are all viewable again. I've also fixed the Boston Ehibit page, everything SHOULD work there as well.  This weekend, maybe Sunday, I will do some SERIOUS updating, I really want to and it needs it. If you find any more photos that say "Remote Photo Linking Not Allowed" please let me know, I'm already aware of a few other pages, but please drop me a line at Ice_Hockey_Lass@hotmail.com. Thanks a million!!

September 3, 2004 - Reworked a lot of the "Merry" page, including new photos. Information on the costume pieces coming very soon, I just need some more time. I'll start on the "Pippin" pages soon as well. Also, added the page for the LOTR Boston Exhibit to the main page, check it out there are tons of pics! We will be adding a page for Brynn's new hobbit last outfit shortly as well. Site updates over at our other website as well, the link is on the main page. Have a great weekend, we're heading back to the Renn Fest if Frances doesn't blow in. Stay safe!

August 31, 2004 - Went to the MD Ren Fest this past Saturday. Fun! I just spent the last five hours updating this site and I'm pretty frusterated, tired, and sore, and now it's 3 AM. I hope the new page works! Check it out on the main page under "Maryland Renaissance Festival Index".

August 24, 2004 - Changed the whole layout for the updates page, it was pretty bad. I hope you like the new way things are set up. Added two new pages to the Faramir Ranger page; the tunic is finally up, as well as the gloves. I have OOOOODLES of photos to get online here soon, once I have some time, I'll start posting them. Merry pics, Pippin pics, group pics, Boston pics, and the Ren Fest is coming up this weekend....ahhh....I'll never get ahead, I swear! We've been busy with costume events!! Can't wait to share them with you!

July 19, 2004 -There aren't any current updates yet, I'm working on a new page and the size of it is going to take me a while to upload and get running. There are going to be 40+ photos on that page from when Kristen and Lauren and Katie came down to visit, and hopefully a little later on in the week I will have it up and running. Please check back.

June 27, 2004 -There is SO much updating to do, but for now, I've added two more pages to the website that can be viewed by clicking the links on the right-hand contents bar. Those new pages are: "Lord of the Rings Day" and "Potomac Celtic Festival 2004". I've got *tons* of new costume pics that I will have to get to later on this week. :-) More to come!

June 11, 2004 - I've added a new page to the site from when we went to the Frederic Celtic Festival and Virginia Renn Faire. There are a few pics in there. The link is on the main page on the right-hand side under "Costumes in Action". Also, there is a new link on the home page to my new website. (Right-hand contents bar.) :-) That's where the photos for the Pirates of the Caribbean gown is going to be, and we have a full page on the Dragonslayer up and running over there. It's going to take me a little while to make things look better and run smoother, but, at least it's up finally.

June 04, 2004 - Long time between updating, sorry for that! We have *finaly* added the page for Eowyn's Funeral Garb to the main page! (Under "Riddermark") this costume has been done for MONTHS now, and the page was made way back in February and has been online too, we just haven't "published" it. So, after a very long time, you can now view Brynn's wonderful gown by clicking on the link. Enjoy!

April 30, 2004 - Just wanted to let everyone know that the Rosie Cotton section is now up and running! The entire costume is finished, and there is a page on making it as well as a gallery with *tons* of pics!! More updates coming to various parts of the site this weekend if I have time. No promises, though, lol!

March 14, 2004 - More pics, folks! I've just updated the "Gondorian Banner" page as well as the "Mourning Gown - Materials and Construction" page. At the bottom of both of these pages there are new photos of these costumes, including the now-finished Mourning Gown. I still have tons more pictures to get on here. Enjoy! :-)

March 13, 2004 - OK, we've got tons of pics to add to the site, and I've gotten around to updating a few of the pages already. There are new pics in Rohan Banner page, the Version 2 Refugee page, and new Traveling Coat pics. These are all the pics we took yesterday at Fort Washington. If I have time, I'm going to update a lot more pages on the site this weekend. We'll see! Enjoy for now! :-)

March 8, 2004 - Not much in the way of costume updates, but I did add a few more links to the links page, as well as a ton of photos of our pets in the "Brandyleaf" page. :-)

February 25, 2004 - I've gotten sick of the crappy layout of just about all of these pages, lol, so, Brynn and I just went through and re-vamped a whole lot of them. I plan on doing this to every page now. :-D So far, The Mourning Gown, Traveling Coat, White Wool, Blood Red, Legolas, and the Rose Dress are all updated and redone. Personally, I think they look a lot better. ;-)I've been away from this site for too long, I miss working on it and my costumes!!

February 24, 2004 - Finished the "Rohan Banner" and now there is a page with pics of it. The link is on the main page under "Riddermark".
