Sandilands, Amanda - Newsreader on Summer Breakfasters (1998-99), and employee of The Rooftop Cafe.

Safran, John - Host of Breakfasters since 2000. Former book reviewer for ‘John’s Book Club’ segment. Former Race Around The Worlder. Comedian/ troublemaker.

Scared Weird Little Guys - Edgey, musical comedy duo consisting of John and Rusty. Occasional Breakfasters guests.

Schiller, Julian - One half of the Crud team and former co-host of The Breakfasters.

Show and Tell - Former segment on The Breakfasters (c. 1998) on Tuesdays and Thurdays at approximately 7:15am, in which listeners ring up and talk about whatever they like.

Shih tzu - See toy breed dog.

SHUT UP!!!! - A phrase often uttered by one of Chris Hatzis' neighbours, in an attempt to quell the barking of toy breed dogs belonging to other neighbours. Usually pronounced in one long 'SHUUUUUT UUUUUUP!', followed by two staccato bursts of 'SHUT UP!SHUT UP!'.

Slocombe, Mrs - Character from British sitcom 'Are You Being Served?' and master of the 'pussy' innuendo often used by Kate Langbroek. eg. "Ooooh I was oop all night stroking mah pussy" or "Oooooh, mah pussy was sooo cold".

"soup to nuts" - A "Leigh Paatchism" for "from start to finish".

St Kilda - The Australian Rules Football team whom Kate Langbroek supports. See also Sainters.

Steel, Don - Music mixer with GBVG, and former neighbour of Dave O'Neil.

Summer Breakfasters - What the Breakfasters is called whenever the regulars take their summer holidays.

Tardo’s Kitchen - A segment on Summer Breakfasters 1997-98 where a guest host proves that the kitchen is more than just a room where the beer lives.

Taylor, Pam - A longtime supporter of The Breakfasters and 3RRR in general.

Toolio - Nickname for Mark O’Toole.

toy breed dog - These are "pet hates" of Chris Hatzis and Dave O'Neil. Classic examples are the Shih Tzu (pronounced Shit-zoo), Malteze and Chihuahua. Chris has suggested that the owners of toy breed dogs should be levied a tax of $100 per week, to ensure there are as few of these dogs around as possible.

three - The number of people Kate Langbroek has hit with her car.

Track-Suit Boy - Leight Paatsch's sports news-reading alter ego. AKA The Coach. see also News Butcher.

Under Melbourne Tonight - Variety television show broadcast on Channel 31. Usual timeslot during season is 9:30pm every Wednesday. Has featured such 3RRR personalities as Duncan Donuts, Keeley Smith, Tony Biggs, James Young, Andrea Ho, and Mel & Fee.

Up This Day - A Summer Breakfasters (1997-98) segment where Leaping Larry L expounds on historical events that happened 'up this day'.

Us & Them - An exceptionally ordinary sitcom for which Kate Langbroek was a writer.
