THE ETERNALS' ENEMIES

Warlord Kro: For centuries, Kro has been the chief adversary of the Eternals, and secret lover of Thena, often balancing those two precariously. Kro has had to disguise his identity among his own people to save himself from "Purity Time", though his long-lifespan is now well-known. For a time, he ruled the Deviants, but he was never certain that was what he truly wanted. However, with Ghaur's recent return to command the Deviants, Kro formed a rebellion against him- a rebellion all but wiped out with the recent destruction of Lemuria. Whether or not Kro survived has not been revealed.

The Deviants: Despite being inferior to Eternals physically, Deviants are masters of manipulating the sciences to give them what they need to stand against them, including genetically-engineered mutates who can turn their powers against them, Brain Mines that shut down their minds, and Z-Rays that can cause them intense pain. The Deviant population is now horribly mutated, and running rampant. How this is to be resolved is as yet unrevealed.

The Hulk Robot: This simple construct, built by two college students, proved to be a dangerous adversary when empowered by a portion of the Uni-Mind's energies! Its battle with Sersi, Ikaris and Makkari raged across New York City before Zuras siphoned its energies off! But with its last act, the robot released an even greater menace...

Dromedan: Shackled by Zuras for centuries, this undying Deviant Mutate has been freed on two occasions- when Druig sought to rule the Incas using Dromedan as a slave (and was instead made a slave of Dromedan)- and when the Hulk Robot broke into his crypt below New York City. The infamous "Brain-Snatcher" can make even an Eternal fall under his control, or go mad with hallucinations! Only the helmet designed by Zuras could contain his might!

Druig: Though the son of Valkin, leader of the Polar Eternals, and cousin of Ikaris, Druig is not a loyal Eternal. For centuries, Druig was led by his lust for power to various sinister schemes, including an attempt to rule the Incas using Dromedan, and stealing the Celestial Weapon his uncle hid within the Pyramid of the Winds. Ultimately, his lust for power was his ruin, when Ikaris disintigrated him to prevent him from firing the Weapon.

Maelstrom: The hybrid offspring of Phaedar, the greatest Inhuman geneticist, and a Deviant woman, Maelstrom has spent most of the past century providing other scientists with samples of his knowledge, and attempting to fulfill his nihilistic desires! Despite having been killed many times over, Maelstrom may yet return again...and his hatred of the Eternals will be as strong as ever!

Ghaur: The sinister Deviant Priestlord tried to gain the power of the Dreaming Celestial in order to challenge to the Celestials themselves, but a combined assault from the Eternals and Avengers laid his spirit low. Since then, Ghaur has resurrected himself on several occasions, and currently resides within a statue of his body. This statue has since been appropriated by the US Military-- but how long can they hold him?

The Dreaming Celestial: Tiamut, the famous "Black Celestial", turned against the 2nd Host, and was placed beneath the mountains of Colorado, separated from his essence. Even in this state, the Dreaming Celestial's vast powers can still influence others- as when he tried to force Ghaur to free him! The renegade Celestial may never be truly defeated.

Blastaar: The despot ruler of Baluur in the Negative Zone, Blastaar attempted to annex Olympia by slaughtering its occupants when it entered his space! But not even the Living Bomburst could keep the Eternals dead, nor could he stand against the assembled might of the Avengers!

Apocalypse: This undying Mutant has fought the Eternals at some time in the past, but has had his most profound effect upon the present, when he destroyed the city of Lemuria, allowed dead Eternals to return to life, and mutated the Deviants into a more monstrous state. Ikaris barely held his own in a fight against him...and he remains very much at large.
