I am 24 years old and a graduate student at *The University of New Hampshire*,getting my Masters in Elementary Education! I would like to stay in New England and teach at a school that gives me a lot of freedom with the way I teach! I have a lot of energy (most days) and love working with kids.
I did my undergraduate work at *The University of Connecticut*, majoring in Communications and minoring in English, with a concentration in Business. I enjoy writing poetry, working out, dancing, partying/clubbing, movies, and just hanging out with my friends.
I have been snowboarding since 1997 and have been teaching at a little mountain called "Ski Bradford", in Bradford, Massachusettes. We have a "great staff" there, and we have a lot of fun! I started out teaching skiing there and still do, although I prefer to teach snowboarding. I would only teach there when I was home for my winter breaks, the rest of the season I would try to get out on the BIG slopes of Maine and Vermont. My favorite place here in the East is *Sugarloaf/USA* in Maine. I like the BIG slopes where I can get lost and find, or make, my own trails. I unfortunately may have to take the whole 2004/2005 season off, due to knee surgery. I am still hoping to get out there before the end of the season, but it might be better to wait!
I am still riding on the first board I ever bought, a *1998 Burton Supermodel 51*. I like it because it is nice and small, easy to control, and easy to do tricks with. I have stuck with Burton equipment not only because I know it is the best, but also because I feel comfortable with it. Although next year, when I get back on the slopes, it might be on a new board =(.
