SILKS/SLAVES ATTIRE
***********************

There are 5 different colors of silks mentioned here. The exact color of the silks may vary from slave to slave depending on the likes and dislikes of each Owner. The colors mentioned here are more for description of the type of slave than actual color of their silks.
`
To use the code of white silk to show restricted status is considered to be un-Gorean by many on Gor. There is some controversy in using this term as many Goreans feel only a "true virgin" should be white silk, in accordance with the books.
`
If the slave's owner prefers to reserve the slave's use for them alone, all they need do is place restrictions on the slave.
`
These Goreans feel that simply placing restrictions on a slave should be enough, no matter what color of the silk. The word "restricted" should be placed in the full name field to be displayed to all.

`

WHITESILK - On IRC, the white silk slave is not necessarily virgin, merely reserved for her Master/Mistresses sole use. On IRC it often connotates a slave who is "in training".
`
They are generally permitted to serve drinks and food and conversation but sexual use is forbidden. An IRC "White Silk" does not use the term "slave heat" except in serves to their Owners.
`
Corporal punishment is at the hands of the owners alone. Masters and Mistresses insulted, may embarrass, confine or display the slave, but may not strike in any way nor permit another to do so.

`

REDSILK - the mark of a pleasure slave. Usually she may generally be used by any who desire her usage or may be reserved for the sole use of the owner.
`
A pleasure slave is considered to be well trained to please in all ways sexual, service wise and in dancing, and are closest to the houris of the Arabian harem or the geishas of Japan.

`

YELLOWSILK - Denotes the Tavern/Inn owned slave who's use is rented and negotiated with the Tavern/Inn owner and may include sexual favors at the owners descretion. These girls are the Paga girls of the Gorean novels.
