PAGA: (Sa-Tarna) an alcoholic beverage brewed from the grains of Gor Similar to Whiskey in strength, it is served warm in a footed bowl in the tradition of Japanese Saki. It is found in botas hanging from a warming rack near the fires in most Inns and Taverns. Paga is an abbreviation of Pagar-Sa-Tarna, which means "pleasure of the life-daughter"

SUL-PAGA: alcoholic beverage made from suls; akin to vodka served in a footed bowl. Probably the strongest drink on Gor.

KA-LA-NA: The golden or red sweet wine of Gor, is distilled from the fruit of the Kalana trees. The best and sweetest coming from the Plains of Kalana. It is served chilled or at room temperature in a goblet in the above fashion. It is found in botas or in bottles.

ALE or MEAD: Gorean Ale is closer to a Honey Lager than to an ale or beer. It is a deep gold in color, and brewed from the grains of Gor and hops imported from earth in the early years.
It is traditionally served in a tankard or a horn. May be found in a barrel with a tap or in bottles.

RENCE ALE: Rence Ale is similar to Gorean Ale. It may also be found in a large cask at the serving area. This drink is made from the Rence plant.

KAL-DA: A hot drink almost scalding made of distilled Ka-la-na wine mixed with citrus juices and hot spices. Kept in the traditional copper kettle on the fires. Sometimes it has pieces of tospit and larma floating in it.
Served in a mug or cup. a hot spicy beverage. It is a common drink of the low caste members. It is said that it tastes good until you get to the bottom of the kettle.

BLACK WINE: A hot drink similar to coffee drunk in the Louisiana region of Earth. It is brewed from coffee beans imported eons ago from Earth and nurtured in the mountain regions of Gor and spiced herbs.
Found in a kettle on the fires, and served in a mug or a tiny cup. Often requested with sweetrock and/or bosk milk.
"Second Slave" means black. "First Slave" means with sweetener and lightener. Originally Blackwine was served with the use of two slaves, the first bringing the tray of sugar and cream, the second serving the blackwine itself.

TA-Wine: A dry white wine made from grapes, served at room temperature, or warm, in a goblet.
`
BAZI Tea: An herbal beverage served hot & heavily sugared. A tea, much like the orange pekoe of Urth, and most often served in higher class establishments.
Traditionally drunk 3 tiny cups, one at a time, in rapid succession.
each cup progressively sweeter and each cup having a different meaning.
A very complex serve, very ceremonial. It is said if you can serve Bazi
Tea, you can serve anything.

TOSPIT JUICE: A sweet mixture of tospit juice, mixed with other fruit juices served chilled in a goblet.

CHOCOLATE: Made from beans, brought back from one of the Voyages of Acquisition, it being the same as chocolate of Earth, served in higher class establishments. Can be mixed with hot bosk milk.

MILK: Can be from the bosk, verr or even the kailla.

SLAVEWINE 1: Watered down sweetened ka-la-na

SLAVEWINE 2: Brewed from bitter herbs (sip-root), acts as a contraceptive drunk once per month. Its effect is instantaneou, but can be counter-acted with a sweet-tasting drink called "Second Wine" or "breeding wine".

Second Wine: A sweet beverage which counteracts the effects of slave wine, making a slavegirl fertile; also called "breeding wine".
