Brevard
25 April 2009
Our meeting
was called to order at 10:00 Jean Pastulla. Minutes from our April 11 meeting
were read and approved after a correction was made.
Treasure’s
report by Scott Tilley shows we now have $5980.71 in our treasury.
Edith
reported that this years Driftwood is coming along nicely. She thanked everyone
who has sent her their stories via email. Edith says this will help out enormously
when putting the book together. She states that more pictures are needed
however. Proofreaders are needed to go over the selections once the judges have
made their decisions. There will be no changes in the stories just a check for
correct spellings and punctuation.
David reports
Driftwoods are still available for sale. Jean will be taking three copies for
her Pen Women meeting today for their raffle. We will be offering copies of the
Driftwood for sale at our WordsWorth day. It was also suggested we take copies
of the Driftwood to other libraries around the country to have them put them on
their shelves.
Jean is going
to bring in our historical scrapbooks for WordsWorth day. This will give
visitors a chance to look at our history. Afterwards she will see if the
library would be willing to let us store our scrapbooks at the library.
We will be
losing our site at GeoCities at the end of the year. Scott Tilley has purchased
a new domain name for us! It is BrevardScribblers.org. He and Nancy will be
working to get this site up and running. Until they can accomplish this Scott
will be putting a link to our current page. Thanks Scott for handling this
matter!
