David started us out with a story that came to him while he was on vacation. It was entitled The Plant. An interesting short story about Bob who worked at “The Plant” and the area he worked in called the “pit”. How he had to he had to welcome the new hires and inform them about their new jobs. It had a most interesting twist.

Walt was up next and read a selection from his book called Father Dan. How about how Father Dan was helping out to make a special Christmas for children at the children’s home. And about the desire of one little boy who wanted to have it snow on Christmas Day.

Nancy read next a story called Write That Story. It was about a young woman’s struggle to get a story written for her professor and who always would wait till the last moment. Next she read a story called, Hot Chocolate. A cute little story about how Melinda made friends with a little squirrel called Stubby.

Angela read to us from a story she had just started called Papa’s Astrology Talent. It was about the birth of her daughter. How her mother in law Mama Rella came to help out and gave up after waiting a time long for the baby to be born. How she decided it was time for the ones from Brooklyn to come and lend a hand. Her father once he gets there tells them all the baby will not be born until the next week.

Frank read to us from articles he came across One was called Grace a cute limerick about a girl who parked in a handicap spot and what happened to her. Another article was entitled Old Sailor . About the life of sailor and how they never die.

Bart read us to from his novel entitled Helio Logging, A Sucker Hole. It was the first chapter called If You Wanna Go Faster, Go Slower. About trying to lift large tons of logs and getting them moved from one point to another and how one load ended up in tragedy. Only to awaken to find out it was only a dream. But still was about the memory of a dear friend.

Lastly, Lou read Adventures Beyond Time. It was about an odd group of people who lived at an inn just down from the railroad station. Each had a an odd name such as: Mrs Nofear, Hellcan, DumbAsCanBe and That’llDo. It was quite funny and different from what he has written before.
