Rows and floes of angel hair
the smell of wings in the air
And Guinness glasses ev'rywhere
We've looked at KLAUS that way

But now we’re old and need some fun
It will rain and snow on ev'ryone
We’ll keep going till Splint is done
But KLAUS got in the way
We've looked at KLAUS from both sides now
From up and down, and still somehow
It's SPLINT’S illusions I recall

Tunes they croon, spitballs congeal
The dizzy dancing way you feel
As ev'ry Splint tale comes real

But it's not just another show
You leave  laughing when you go
And if you dare, don't let them know
Don't put the darts away

Beers and jeers and “talking  proud”
To yell "Caaaarll" right out loud
Dreams of green thrill the crowds

They shake their heads, they drop the change
Well something's lost, but someone's gain
