Just reminding you to mark your calendars for August 1, 2 & 3 for Kelley Reunion 2003. We will again make the Pzazz in Burlington our central location. There will again be a block of rooms reserved for Kelley Family members there if you’re interested. Further plans and information will follow after the first of the year.
We need to ask for a little help from all of you for some fun projects and wanted you & us to have a little time for it.
As a memento this time, we want to do a family calendar. It would be our intention to be able to feature everyone in our family in a photo on the calendar, from Grandma & Grandpa Kelley to the youngest of the newest generation. One calendar will be a gift to each of the families from the committee. We will plan to take orders for anyone else who would like to have one. Along with the invitation, the calendar committee will need your help for some photos and the up-to-the-minute birth, marriage etc. records for your family. We are thinking this note will allow for time to think about and perhaps make a copy of photos you would share for a calendar. We will have every intention of returning your photos to you in the same condition that you provide them, but would feel terrible if accident, postal service or other unforeseeable incident damaged a precious photo for anyone. Perhaps this additional time will also allow you to corroborate during the holidays with extended family and choose photos together to get all of you included in this calendar. We will be limited on how large photos can be as there is only one page per family available, so smaller snap shots and group pictures will be best in most cases. We will have the ability to reduce photos, but that can cause some diminished quality in the reproduction. We’re asking each cousin of our (Dick, Kelley, Marsha etc.) generation to take responsibility to provide those photos for your respective families. We, of course, want to include all of our parents, children & grandchildren. Photos could include your entire extended family if you have them…. that would be ideal, but we know not always available. Can be old or recent etc. We will use what you choose to the very best of our ability.
We would also like to ask for some early pictures from each family for another project. Photocopies of your pictures that wouldn’t need to be returned would be a preference for our intended purpose. They’ll need to be identified on the back; size is irrelevant and could be of anyone in your family from parents to great-grandchildren and you should include some of those in-laws. The number you wish to include is entirely up to you. These should be something not easily recognizable to stump your cousins, aunts and uncles. Baby pics, early childhood shots, teenagers in their bell-bottoms and cool haircuts, wedding photos etc. It should be a great way to “get” your siblings! We will need your cooperation to make this project work so please find some fun photos for us.
