CROSSOVER CHALLENGES
5. LJ’s Much Ado About Nothing Challenge:
During Season 4 or 5, UC Sunnydale’s Drama Department, or the Sunnydale Community Theater, puts on Much Ado
About Nothing by William Shakespeare, with auditions open to the public. Who tries out for the play? Who gets what
part? (Remember, only a few Slayerettes can have parts, so you’ll have to invent a few minor characters for the majority
of the parts; otherwise, it’ll look suspicious.)
During the rehearsals or after the performances, someone comes to the conclusion that the Claudio/Hero and
Benedick/Beatrice situation is identical to what’s going on among the Slayerettes&Co at the same time. They plot to get
the Benedick/Beatrice couple together, but with some difficulties (of course).
Include at least 5 direct references to the play. These can include quotes.
Ideas for couples:
Buffy/Riley and Giles/Joyce or Willow/Spike or Willow/Graham
Giles/Joyce and Willow/Spike or /Graham or Buffy/Spike
Xander/Anya and Giles/Joyce or Willow/Spike or /Graham
or come up with your own pairings!
8. LJ’s The Others Crossover Challenge:
Write a story in which a member of the Others is either (a) a relative of or (b) a penpal/email-pal of a Slayerette. The
Sunnydalian can also be Joyce, Giles, or a member of the Initiative. The Others member comes to Sunnydale. What
happens? Does s/he find out about the Slaying business?
9. Bri Harper’s Sliders Crossover Challenge:
Using the four original characters of Sliders - Quinn, Arturo, Wade, and Rembrandt - write a story in which they slide
into Sunnydale and the BTVS universe.
additional optional part #1: Sliders takes place in San Francisco, right? Well, I can’t remember there ever being any
mention of San Francisco on BTVS or ATS, so have Sunnydale be the BTVS version of some outlying suburb of San
Francisco. Because the Hellmouth exists there in the BTVS universe, the town grew more slowly and never became
populated enough to resemble the "real" San Francisco. In the story be sure to mention the fact that the BTVS characters
have never heard of "San Francisco".
additional optional part #2: Make a Sliders character a relative of a BTVS character, only
(a) The Sliders character is dead or doesn’t exist in the BTVS universe, so the Sliders character knows the BTVS
character, but the BTVS character doesn’t know the Sliders character or
(b) vice versa.
additional optional part #3: Quinn and Riley are brothers or cousins, but in the BTVS universe, Quinn was killed shortly
before Season 4. The Sliders are captured by the Initiative. This should take place early to mid-Season 4, so that Riley is
still a real commando and Professor Walsh is still alive.
20. Bri's Highlander Crossover Challenge (in honor of LJ's 20th birthday):
Everywhere I look, there are Highlander/BTVS crossovers. Practically everyone has become an Immortal - except Wesley, Giles, Oz, and Joyce. So, write a story in which one of these four individuals is an Immortal or becomes an Immortal - preferably Giles or Joyce, since it's LJ's birthday.
Include:
* Someone mentioning the movie Highlander in the same vein that Lestat mentions the book Interview with the Vampire and Louis in The Vampire Lestat -OR- Someone mentioning the movie Interview with the Vampire.
* Mr. Gordo must make an appearance.
* The Immortal's death must be mundane - no connection to slayage or world save-age.
* Some reference to Portland, Oregon, or, even better, Oregon City, Oregon, or something in one of those two cities (example: Abernethy Green in Oregon City, which is the official end of the Oregon Trail, or the Willamette River).
* Either no one finds out or everyone finds out about the new Immortal right after their first death. If they don't find out immediately, they can start finding out two years after the first death.
Karina's Buffy/Forever Knight Crossover Challenge:
What if Buffy for once doesn´t come in time to rescue Willow and Willow is turned halfway into a vampire but no one even notices. Willow changes her name, leaves Sunnydale and moves to Toronto where she meets up with the third season cast of Forever Knight.

This should be also mentioned:
 - Willow´s need for blood
- Angel and Spike being friends with Willow
- Spike and Angel coming to look for her
- Willow putting a vampire (of her own kind) into place before the eyes of LaCroix and Nick

Bonus if mentioned:
- Angel having an Angelus moment without losing his soul
- Angel teaching Nick how to love a mortal without killing
- Nat removing Spikes chip
- Nat, Spike and Angel discussing torture methods for the Initiative before the eyes of Nick and LaCroix
- Tracy finding out about Nick, Angel, Spike and Willow
- Willow saying something like: "I´m used to Death. It becomes somewhat of a brother to you on a hellmouth."

Neva's Highlander/BTVS Crossover Challenge:
I've had a couple of ideas floating around in my head that I can't use.  The following is one of them; I hope somebody likes the idea and decides to use it.
 
Highlander (movie and TV show) and BtVS x-over:
1) Willow goes to New york to do a favor for Giles
2) She is captured and tortured by a really nasty group of vamps (possibly involving Dru?)
3) She dies and becomes Immortal -- Connor McLeod is walking by and feels her reviving --- he looks in the window, sees the vamps, decides to rescue her
4) how he deals with healing a deeply traumatized new Immortal (and train her) is up to any writer who decides to use this idea
5) what other Highlander characters are used (specifically from the TV show) is also left to the creative mind that picks up this idea
6)  Xander and Spike go in search of Willow (how find her? don't know)
7) Spike and Willow get involved
8)  Is Xander pre-Immortal? (I hadn't decided)
 
I know that this is rather large chunk of "idea", but I just don't have time to write it :(  Anyone who wants it can have it.
