Chapter Six

“So how was your date?” Renee asked Megan the next morning. Everyone had emerged from their rooms early that morning, except for Allison, who was still asleep.

“Great! He took me to a really pretty resturant! It was by the beach! We watched the sunset! Oh! He’s so sweet!” Megan gushed. “How about you.”

“Oh, we had fun too.” Renee seemed a little more coposed then Megan. “First we went out for dinner, chatted a while, then went for ice cream.” Renee smiled. “Then he kissed me!”

“He did!” Hamidah gasped.

“He did. Then, we both agreed that we needed to go on another date. Hamidah, you never told us about yours.”

“Yeah,” Megan nodded.

“Well, what’s there to tell? We went for a movie, and talked for a while. Well, we did a little more then talking....” Hamidah grinned.

“Man! Am I the only one who didn’t get a kiss?” Megan wined.

“We don’t know. Allison came in too late for me to ask how her’s went.” Renee laughed.

“Lucky for her today’s Saturday.” Hamidah laughed.

Entering the kitchen, Allison grinned. “Thank God it’s Saturday.”

“How was your evening last night?” Renee asked.

Blushing, Allison sat next to Megan. “It was so romantic!”

“Why are you blushing?” Hamidah asked.

“We kissed for a wile on the beach,” Allison mumbled.

“You did!!” Megan cried. “Aw man! I am the only one?”

Allison laughed. “Only one what?”

“Who didn’t get kissed.”

“You kissed on the beach?” Renee grinned at her friend.

“For how long?” Hamidah asked.

“I don’t know... a while.” Allison blushed again.

The three guys, that lived in the apartment, were up and eating breakfast in the kitchen. “what are ya doing up this early Kev? It’s only ten.” Brian grinned.

“I couldn’t sleep. I was thinking aout last night.” Kevin mumbled half asleep. “What did you do last night?”

“Well, after dinner, we went for ice cream, amd then we kissed goodnight.” Brian sighed. “She agreed to go on another with me. How was yours?”

“Fine.” Kevin mumbled.

“That bad?” Brian looked up.

“Bad?” Howie asked. “Those two showed up last night giggleing and chatting! He had a great time!”

“Exactly Howard. That’s why I couldn’t sleep. I kept thinking about her all night.” Kevin rubbed his eyes.

“I couldn’t get Renee off my mind either.” Brian sighed. “I really like her.”

****** A FEW MONTS LATER

Sitting in the car, Nick and Megan were talking. Each boy had taken his girlfriend out. The relationships each had started had grown stronger and more serious with each month that passed by. The reason for everyone to go out was they had to break the news of them having to go on tour in Europe and Asia for the next few months. They knew that the girls couldn’t come along because of their jobs.

“Megan, I really care about you, I want you to know that.” Nick sighed. He still hadn’t told Megan that he had to leave.

“I know Nick. You don’t need to remind me everyday. It’s sweet though.”

“Megan, I have bad news.”

“What? Are you okay?” Megan began to fear the worst. Does he want to break up?

“I wont be able to see you for the next few...” Nick gulped. He couldn’t say it. “months.”

“Why? What did I do? I’m sorry for whatever it is--”

“Megan, it’s not you. It’s my job. I have to go tour Europe and Asia. Lou won’t let us bring you girls because he doesn’t know we have girlfriends. We arn’t allowed to.”

“What?! Why?”

“People wont listen to us if we don’t appear single.”

“That’s stupid.”

“I know it is.”

He took her hand and stared down at it. “If you get some time off maybe you can come visit me. It will be so boring without you.”

“Well, once yor off tour we can spend all day together.”

“Meg, after the tour we have to tour here. We’ll get, like, a week off inbetween.”

******

Brian and Renee were sitting alone in his apartment watching the movie “Wile you were sleeping.” and cuddleing on the couch. Renee had no idea about the tour. “Nay?” Brian asked.

“Hmm?”

Picking up the remote, Brian hit pause. “I have some bad news.”

Renee looked over at Brian alarmed. “What’s wrong?”

“I’m going on tour next week. I wont be back for a few months, then after that the fellas and I are scheduled to tour the U.S.”

“That’s not that bad.”

“Yes it is. You’re not allowed to come along. Lou won’t let us. Plus, you have a job here.”

Renee ignored the comment about her job. “I could fly up to visit you.”

“Maybe. But the press will attack you if our seen in public with me.”

“Then I wont be seen.”

Brian laughed. “Oh and how will you do that? Plus when we are finished touring, we need to film videos, and record a CD for the U.S.”

******

Allison tried not to cry as Kevin told her he wouldn’t be able to see her for the next few months. They had grown extremely close and were practicly inseprable. “In a few months school will be out. I can come see you.” Allison protested.

“Lou wouldn’t allow you to stay with us. He thinks that, if we have girlfriends, it will be bad for our image.”

“What did you tell him about me.”

“I never said he had to know if we had girlfriends.” Kevin grinned. “Don’t worry. I don’t think I’ll meet anyone who can compare to you over in Asia.”

Allison sighed. “I don’t know. I’m still afriad. I don’t want to loose you.”

“You wont! I’ve never met someone as special as you.” Leaning forward he kissed her. “I promise, I’ll call every night.”

*****

“You what?! Why?” Hamidah cried. “You can’t go!”

“I have to! It’s in my blood. I’m almost going carzy here Hamidah, I have to preform.” AJ’s voise was stern.

“Why for that long though? Can you cut it short? AJ.... I can’t be here without you.”

AJ laughed. “I’ll be back. Don’t worry.”

******

The dreaded day finally arrived. The plane was leaving for England. If they missed this flight, they’ed miss the kick off of their tour. Kissing their girlfriends goodbye, they departed. “Call like you promised!” Allison yelled after Kevin.

They all hugged Howie goodbye. “Your lucky your sister gets to come.” Megan sulked. “That’s not fair.”

“We’ll be back. Bye!” Brian called.

“Yeah. Seeya Meg!” Nick waved.

“Adios baby.” AJ said relasing Hamidah. “I’ll see you in a few months.”

Chapter Seven

Sitting by the phone Hamidah urged the phone to ring. “C’mon, ring, ring, call AJ! Please!” She had been sitting there all day, never leaving the couch.

The TV, which had been under her control all day, was blaring a Modonna song at the moment. Not that it mattered, Hamidah wasn’t watching anyway. Since there was only one TV in the apartment, everyone else sat int the living room to see if anything interesting would come on wile they sat working. The answer to Hamidah’s plee was finally answered. The phone rang. Picking it up, she tried to act as casual as possible. “Hello?” She cooed. “No! We don’t want another credit card! Don’t call back!” Slamming down the reciver, she groaned. “He’ll never call!”

“Sure he will. Give him time.” Renee replied looking up from her writing.

Suddenly, Megan’s cell phone rang.Picking it up she asked, “Yes?”

“Hey!” Came a voice on the other end.

“Nick! Oh my gosh! Why are you calling on my cell phone?”

“The other guys are fighting on who gets the phone first. So far AJ’s winning.”

Megan laughed. “So how’s the tour?”

“Boring. We can’t go out! I’m locked in a hotel room! I’m forced to share a room with Howie!”

“So? He’s not that bad!”

“Well, accually, he’s better than AJ because he doesn’t talk nonstop, but he snores!!”

Megan giggled. “So who’s the lucky man who get’s a room to himself?”

She could see his grin form over the phone. “Kevin. But that’s a good thing.”

“Why?”

Nick cracked up. “He.... he...” Nick couldn’t get it out. “He sleeps nude!”

Megan doubled over on the couch. “Are you kidding me?!”

“No! I’m not!” Nick cried.

Megan looked over at Allison and shook her head. In between gasps for breath, Megan cried, “You sure know how to pick ‘em Allie!”

“What?” Allison asked, bewildered. “What’d I do?”

Renee shrugged. “Nick told her something.”

Looking back down at her lesson plans, Allison sighed. She had no idea what she wanted to do next week. Oh well.

Finally, the phone rang. Hamidah dove for it. “Hello?”

“Hey baby.” A voice cooed from the other end.

“Oh! You called.” Hamidah made it sound unimprotant.

AJ laughed. “So you weren’t sitting by the phone all day?”

“Why would I do that? I do have a life.” Hamidah snapped.

Laughing AJ murmered, “You’re so cute.”

“Thanks,” Hamidah grinned. “So, you enjoying yourself?”

“Oh! I love doing this. You need to come see a show. You’d enjoy it.”

“I bet I would. So, anything interesting happen?”

“You mean out of the ordinary? You bet! We’ve been playing jokes on each other, and goofing off constantly!”

“No!” Hamidah laughed. “You do that here. Anything different?”

“Well, I met this girl--”

“You what?!” Hamidah gasped.

AJ laughed. “You think I’d do that?”

“If you are you wouldn’t tell me.” Hamidah sulked.

“Baby, I’m not.” AJ said. “I’m not that type.”

“Sure.”

“Hon? I’ll talk to you in a minute. Kevin and Brian are getting so ancy they’re about to pee their pants. Okay? Talk to you in a few.”

“Okay. Who’s gonna talk first?”

“Kevin”

“Allison. Phone.”

Hamidah handed the phone to Allison and flopped back on the couch. Grinning she turned to Megan and asked. “What’d Nick tell you?”

Giggleing, Megan wispered the news to Hamidah. Gasping aloud Hamidah cried, “He sleeps Naked?!” Then she too doubled over.

“Who?” Renee asked looking up.

Hamidah pointed to Allison and lipped ‘Her boyfriend.’

Renee’s mouth dropped open. “Really? Oh, well she just has to know.”

Allison smiled into the phone. “Aw, you are so sweet!” Giggleing, she asked, “So what’s up?”

“Well....”

“What is it?” Allison hoped her fears wern’t true.

“Don’t sound so parinoid!” Kevin laughed. “I just have a question.”

“Yes?”

“Well, I have a few days off while in Kentucky... and it’s during you spring break....”

“Are you asking me to come up?” Allison asked.

“Renee too. But let B ask her.”

“Why Kentucky? And do I get to see a show?” Allison cooed.

“Of course you’ll get to see a show. Well, I want you to come to Kentucky, because...” Kevin sighed. They hadn’t seen each other for the past few months, but they talked every night on the phone, as promised. “my family lives there... and I want you to meet them. Especially my mom. I’ve told her all about you. Then we can go down to Ft. Ladurdale. That’s the next stop on the tour. How about it?”

“I’d love to!” Allison gushed. “Bye. Renee phone!”

Grinning Renee picked up the reciver. “Yes?”

“Hey babe.”

“So, anything improtant happen there?”

“Accually, yes. We have time off, and I’d like for you to come visit me.”

“Aw! B! That’s so sweet!”

“So you can meet my family.”

“Why?”

“Cuz, Nee, you are very important to me. They need to meet you. "Wanna know why?”

“Sure.”

“Because,” Brian paused. He couldn’t believe he was about to say this. “I love you.”

It suprised Renee how powerful those three little words could be. “I love you too. Sure I’ll come visit.”

“Great. We’ll send your tickets. You and Allison are coming.”

Renee hung up the phone in a daze. This was, by far, the sweetest thing a man had ever done to Renee. Her heart floated at the thought of the thought of meeting his family. If she was lucky, they would be just like him.

Chapter Eight

Six am: The phone rings. Megan leans over and grabs the reciver. “Hello?”

“Meg?”

“Nick! Why are you calling? It’s six in the morning.” Megan groaned.

“Oh it is! Aw shoot. It’s ten here in Californina, and I wanted to catch you before you left for work. Oh, I’ll call back.”

“No, no. I’m up, and I only had half an hour left anyway. What’s up?”

“Well, since Kevin and Brian invited thier girlfriends to come visit them, well, I want to know if you wanted to come.”

Megan smiled. “Hon, I can’t! The only reason Allison can go is it’s her time off, and Renee just at least once while she’s there. I don’t have time off that week. I get the next one off.”

Nick sighed.

“I’m sorry! Where will yo be that week?”

“Ft Lauderdale.”

“Really! I used to live there! And Allison will travel there with Kevin!”

“After that we’re comin’ home.”

“So?! I could come that week.”

“Really?” Megan could see Nick’s face brighten over the phone.

“Really.”

“Great! The tickets will come with Allison and Renee’s.” Nick paused. “I really miss you.”

“I miss you too. But I got to go.” Megan was up and pulling together her outfit for that day.

“Okay bye.”

“Bye. Talk to you later.”

Leaning against the wall, Megan waited for her heart beat to slow to a normal pace. She couldn’t believe that Nick had just asked her on an overnight trip! This was too exciting! Rushing out of her room, she accidently ran into Allison who was chatting happily with Renee. “Sorry!” Megan gasped. “It’s just, well Nick invited me to go to Ft. Laderdale with you!”

“Really! That’s great!” Allison chirped.

“Right.” Renee groaned. “So you’re going to let me come back from Kentucky to be left alone in the house with a love sick Hamidah? Oh great! I have to listen to her and AJ flirt!”

Megan laughed. “Sorry! You need to be back! They’re expecting the story!”

“Yeah! Plus, I need the vacation, and I have to weeks. So I’ll spend them with my boyfriend.” Allison reminded everyone for the fifth time.

“Oh shut up!” Renee laughed.

“Really!” Megan sighed. “We don’t care how much time you get off! Well, I need to go to work. See ya!”

*****

Sighing, Megan dropped into her chair. Today was one of her busiest days. Already scheduled, she had about ten patients, and every day, atleast a few un scheduled ones show up. Looking at her plan book, to see who she had first, she smiled. Her first patient was one of her favorites. She loved helping the one’s get over a divorce because they’re complaints always seemed so pointless. Plus, the only reason they come is because it’s something they can force their ex to pay for. She also enjoyed just lstening to the reason’s the couple broke up. (Usally over a car.)

Her first patient was named Julie Smith. She recently divorced her husband of six years. Megan just found her amusing. Once she entered, Megan smiled kindly and asked, “Where did we leave off last week?”

“Well,” Julie sighed, “we left off when I was telling you about his bad habits.”

Sounded more like whining to me. Megan thought. “Okay. Ready?”

“Yep.” Julie piped. To Megan, she seemed like an over grown cheer leader, and that was the most annoying feature.

Oh well. I have to just deal with it.

****

When Megan arrived at home, she arrived to see Renee locked in the next room, Allison still at work, and Hamidah on the phone with AJ. “Renee! How long has she been on the phone?” Megan called into the next room.

“All afternoon!” Renee moaned.

Megan laughed. “I’m sorry! What can I do to help?”

“Get her off!” Renee cried.

Laughing harder, Megan queried, “How?”

“I don’t know!” Renee giggled. “You figure it out!”

Suddenly Allison stalked in. Aparently, her day hadn’t gone perfectly. Slumping into the couch next to Hamidah, she groaned at hearing the conversating Hamidah was currently in with AJ. “You hang up.” She cooed into the phone. “No! You!” Giggleing Hahidah fell back into the couch. “You! She cried.

“How long has she been at this?” Allison snapped.

“All afternoon.” Came Renee’s reply.

“Ahhh!” Allison groaned.

“You hang up! No! You! No you! You!.” Hamidah purred into the phone.

Snatching the phone, Allison pressed the END button. “There. I hung up.”

“How could you!”Hamidah cried. “We were in the middle of a very important conversation!” Picking up the phone, she dialed a number. “AJ? Sorry babe. We were cut off. Where were we?”

Renee groaned. “Please! Hamidah! I need to use the phone! I have to call Brian!”

Standing up, Megan wandered into her bedroom. Laying on her desk, was an envolope. Picking it up, she smiled at what was inside. The tickets! She couldn’t wait to go spend a whole week with Nick down in Ft. Lauderdale. This seemed too good to be true!

Chapter Nine

Renee and Allison had been on the plane for nearly an hour so far. Both couldn’t wait to get off the plane and greet their boyfriends. Looking over at Allison, Renee asked, “Do I look all right?” She'd gotten up extra early that morning so she could perfect her outfit.

“Renee!” Allison let out an exausted laugh. “You look great. Brian will love it.”

“I hope so.” Renee mumbled loud enough for her friend to hear.

“Pasengers, this is your captian speaking. We will be landing in aproximately ten minutes so please be ready to exit the plane.”

Taking a deep breath, Renee patted the carry-on bag at her feet. She felt more nervous at each passing minute. It’s just Brian. She told herself. He doesnt bite. Suddenly, the memory of him telling her he loved her came rushing back. Her heart fluttered excitedly. She couldn’t wait any longer. Good thing the plane was landing!

Feeling the plane start to decend, Renee pulled out her pocket mirror to check her reflection one last time to make sure it looked perfect. It looked as good as she felt she ever would, and it was too late to rush to the bathroom to try and make herself look better.

“Renee? Are you going to get off the plane?” Allison interupted her thoughts and was standing over her in the isle. Laughing, she added, “You look great. Don’t worry.”

“Thanks.” Following her off the plane, Renee smiled. He invited me here. There is no way he’s going to send me home.

Looking around once thay entered the lobby, Renee noticed Kevin walk up behind Allison and pull her into a soft kiss. Turning around, she tried to see where Brian could be. She couldn’t find him. Sighing, she turned back around to ask Kevin where his cousin was. The only problem was he and Allison were chatting about everything and each was talking so fast Renee knew she wouldn’t be able to get a word in with either of them.

A pair of arms slipped around her waist. With out giving Renee time to react, Brian spun her around and pulled her into a passionate kiss. Pulling away, Renee smiled. “Where were you?”

Grinning, Brian answered, “Putting your and Allison’s luggage in the car. Does she know the meaning of ‘light packing’?”

Linking her arm in Brian’s, Renee smiled happily. “Never asked her.”

Brian laughed. Turning serious agian, he looked Renee over. “You look great.”

She blushed. “Thanks.”

Arriving at the car, Brian gallantly pulled open the door for Renee to step in. What suprised her the most though, was the fact there was a limo waiting to take her and Allison to where they would be staying. As she dropped onto the seat, Renee noticed that Allison and Kevin were already in the limo. “How about we go out to eat, the four of us.” Brian replied sitting next to Renee.

“When?” Kevin asked.

“Tonight?”

“Is that alright with you ladies?”

“I have nothing to do.” Renee grinned.

“What ever you want to do.” Allison smiled up at Kevin.

Pulling up at Kevin’s mom’s house, Brian looked over at Renee. “I want you to meet my aunt.” He announced.

“We’re staying here?” Renee asked.

“No. You’re staying with me at my parents house.”

“Oh.”

Following Brian into the house, Renee wondered if she would make a good impression on B’s whole family. Allison didn’t need to worry because she was always smiling, which sometimes got annoying. Still, Allison had another advantage. This was Hick country, and she’s a Hick. She knows how to act around them. “Renee, this is my aunt Ann. Ann, this is my girlfriend Renee.”

“Hi. Nice to meet you.” Renee smiled politely.

“She’s quiet.” Ann laughed. “Total opposite of you Brian.” Turning to Renee she added, “Be careful, he’s a wild one.”

Laughung Renee said, “Thanks for the warning. I’ll try to keep him calm.”

*****

After being intoduced to Brian’s mother, father, and older brother, Renee strolled upstairs to shower, and prepare for their double date. Brian remianed in the kitchen discussing Renee with his mother. “She’s sweet isn’t she?” He asked.

“Very. A little shy, but very polite.” His mother said.

“I like her.” Brian’s father added.

“That’s great dad.” Brian grinned to himself.

“You’re so cute together.” Brian’s older brother, Harold, teased.

Brian threw a pillow and hit his brother in the face. Laughing Brian looked over at his brother and cried, “So are you and your girlfriend!”

Their family fued was cut short but a loud shriek coming from a bathroom upstairs. Jumping up from where he sat, Brian raced up the stairs and skidded to a stop in front of the bathroom Renee ocupied. Still saying how gross that was, Renee threw the door open and stood face to face with a confused Brian. “Sorry.” She mumbled. “I stepped on a cockroach in the shower.”

“Are you alright?” Jackie, Brian’s mother stepped up behind her son, who now, was trying his best not to laugh.

“Yes. I’m fine. Thanks.” Renee gripped the towel around herself even tighter. “Can I get dressed?”

“Sure.” Jackie smiled pulling her hysterical son out of the room.

*****

Sitting next to Allison in the resturant, Renee was forced into telling the story of her encounter with the roach again. “It was huge! Like, as big as my finger!” Renee held up her index to prove her point.

Kevin and Brian cracked up and Allison could only say, “Ew.”

“What’s so funny?” Renee snapped at the guys who were practicly dieing across the table from her.

“You gotta get used to roaches up here.” Brian told her.

“Trust me,” Kevin added, “that’s just a small one.”

“Well lets go for a walk. Dinner’s over, and I just payed the check.” Brian grinned.

Sighing, Renee got up. “Let’s go.” Turning to Brian she wispered, “I pay next time.”

Kevin led them to a field where he kept his pet horse. Calling it over he stroked it. “Good boy. Good Amous.”

“What’s the horses name?” Renee asked Brian.

“Amous. Like Famous Amous cookies?” Brian smiled.

“Oh.” Renee laughed. “I thought he said Anus.”

Strolling through the pasture, Renee leaned her head on Brian’s shoulder. This seemed to be the perfect evening. Allison and Kevin had wandered away from them so they walked alone. Looking up into the clear night sky filled with twinkling stars, Renee realized why Brian and Kevin loved the country so much. It was beautiful. Feeling Brian looking at her, Renee turned to face him. “I love you.” Brian told her.

Renee realized, now the eveening is perfect. “I love you too,” Leaning forward she kissed him. Pulling away, they ran to the horse so they could ride him into the evening.

Chapter 10

Allison sat up in her bunk on the bus. Where was she? Taking a deep breath she remembered. She was on the boys’ tour bus on her way to Ft. Lauderdale. The week she spent in Kentucky had gone by so quickly! Kevin’s whole family had been so kind to her, and made her feel so welcome. Kevin’s two older brothers kept teasing him about her, but he always came back at them with some crack about their wives.

She and Renee had sat through a show, and it was more amazing then she ever expected it to be. Renee gaped the whole time. The one thing that amazed them both was the millions of screaming teenage girls. Every one screamed, or tried to, scream louder than the others in order to be noticed. Sitting in the front, at times, Allison wanted to turn around and tell them to shut up.

Dropping back onto the pillow, she gazed across from her bunk into Kevin’s. He slept soundly, gripping his pillow. Everything was silent except for Brian’s and Howie’s snoring. Rolling over she noticed the time: Six am. Groaning to herself for waking up so early, she turned over and fell back asleep.

*****

“What do you want to do today? I can probably get out today, and tomorrow night we can definately go out.” Kevin said emerging from the back of the bus around eleven that morning.

“Well,” Allison drawled. “my parents live down here. I want to introduce you to them.” Allison looked up from the nintendo game she and Nick absorbed themselves in. “They, well, want to meet you, and I told them I was coming down. Just let me warn you about you about my brother. He’s a lunitic!”

“If your parents are anything like you, I’ll love them. And don’t worry about your little brother, I’ve got two older ones.”

“Yours are nothing like mine. He is phsyco! I’m not kidding either! Just ask Renee or Megan!”

Kevin laughed. “Well I should get ready if were going to see them.”

“Me too,” Allison grinned. “and tomorrow night activities are your choice. I just hope there’s a walk along the beach involved.”

*****

Pulling up to a comfortable yellow house, Allison and Kevin jumped out of the limo. Dragging him up the front step, Allison began t realize how frightened she was. What if they don’t approve of him? I really like him. I might even be falling in love... She didn’t allow herself to finish that thought. The thought of her being in love with him, and then being left for a blonde frightened her. Don’t be stupid! He would never even dream of doing that!

The door swung open and Allison’s mother looked over joyed to see her daughter standing there. Sending a welcomeing smile in Kevin’s direction, she urged them to come inside. “To what do I owe this unexpected pleasure?” Lora asked her daughter.

“Well, we were in Kentucky like I told you, then he said he told me he was coming down here for two days so I came along to introduce him to you.” Allison smiled nervously. “Mom, this is Kevin, Kevin, this is my mother Lora.”

Introductions went around, she introduced her father and little brother. Kevin happily shook hands with all of them and told them all about his job. Philip, Allison’s brother seemed the most interested. “Did you meet any famous people?” He asked.

“Lots. One of my favorites was Arnold Schwartzinager, (Is that how you spell that?) he was really cool.”

“Cool!” Phil exclaimed. In a bad accent he added, “I’m going to pump you up! Well, I gotta go to work. Nice meeting you. No Allison, I see what your thinking. I’m getting my own apartment next week.”

Laughing Allison stood up. They had been there for a good three hours and Kevin needed to get back for rehersal. Plus, they needed to eat lunch. “Well we should go too.” Kissing her parents on the cheeks, she waved goodbye. “Your all coming to Thanksgiving right? Don’t worry, I’m only helping with the cooking. Renee and Megan are the designated cooks.”

****

The next morining, Allison slep in till around ten. The night before they partied because it was the last show of the tour. Allison and Kevin stayed partying till at least three in the morning. Laughing and dancing their hearts out the whole time, all of the boys were extremely happy. Megan, like Allison had been, was amazed at how good the boys were in concert. She had shown up the day before and had been lucky enough to come to the after party for the tour. Currently she and Nick battled with Mario cart.

“Nick! Stop hitting me! It’s not fair!” Megan cried.

“What? I can’t help it if I’m very skilled at this game.”

“And that’s about the only thing you’re skilled at!” Megan laughed.

“Hey!” Nick dropped his controller to stare at Megan, “I can sing really well.”

Turning to Nick, Megan smiled. “I just beat you, an came in first.” Grinning, she stood up and ran for the back of the bus.

Grunting, Nick dropped into the chair next to Allison. “Why is she so mean?”

“She was kidding. Didn’t you hear her laughing like a maniac? Plus, if you take out the ‘g’ in her name, Megan, it spells mean.” Standing up, Allison strolled to her bunk. Curling up in it she read her book untill they stopped for lunch.

****

That evening, Kevin took Allison out dancing. They stayed untill eleven, then he walked her to his car. “You requested a stroll along the beach, so lets go.”

As they walked, Allison felt sad she had to go back to work the next day. Yes the kids were wonderful, but being here with Kevin was what she wanted more than anything. She could feel it. Shifting her gaze away from the stars and onto Kevin, she opened her mouth to speak. She had to tell him that she was falling in love. This was not something you were supposed to keep locked inside. “Kevin,” She began “I-”

He cut her off. “I have to tell you something. I love you.” he murmered. “I love you, I love you, I love you.”

Placing her hand on his cheek Allison was well aware of the tears streaming down her cheeks. “I love you too.” She wispered. “I love you too.”

Pulling her into a gentle kiss, he proved his word by pourin all his emotions into it. He then led her to the hotel Lou had rented for the boys that night. The next day they would be back in Orlando, for the break they needed badly. That night they shared a hotel room, Lou had only rented the one. And the next morning, they rose and with light hearts, left for home.
