I had been watching this little girl in Mrs. Broome's class all week. She was so kind to her friends and listened to what my friend, Mrs. Broome had to say. I knew right away I wanted to visit with her. I went to her dad's birthday party and met her grandparents. We went to a Red Devils football game and watched her cheer for the team. Her mom made the best grilled cheese sandwiches and soup for our dinner. We got to watch Disney on TV and before bed, she and her sister read my favorite bedtime story, Time for Bed. See our picture above!

The little girl with the brown hair in the picture above is in Mrs. Broome's class, and WOW is she sweet. I knew I wouldn't be happy until I got to go home with her. I was very lucky to spend the weekend with her because I got to visit another state. We went to Knoxville, Tennessee. That's where her big sister goes to college. I got to see the stadium where the Tennessee Vols play football. I yelled out, "Go Vols!" I liked shouting that, but I hoped I didn't hurt my friend Mrs. Broome's feelings, because she always loves the Georgia Bulldogs the best. I got to look around the big college. It was nice. We came back to her house the next day. We had delicious pizza and rested for school the next day. I sure had a lot of fun!!

This cute little girl in Mrs.
Broome's class had been smiling at me a lot, and I noticed that during
centers she really likes to read. I knew that I would enjoy visiting her,
because I was sure that I would get to hear some great stories. When I
went home with her, we got to go shopping at Old Navy. They have really
stylish clothes for penguins like me. I got to ride in my own car seat.
Her grammy drove us. What a nice lady! When we got back to her house, it
was raining a little, so we watched Cinderella and The Tigger Movie. After
the rain stopped, we played on her swing set with her little sister. See
me in the picture. She pushed me real high in the swing. Wheeeeee! I ate
all kinds of delicious foods all weekend and even got to sit next to her
at every meal. She helped me brush my teeth. I think my favorite thing
we did together was going out for ice cream at Bruster's. My favorite flavor
was the chocolate chip cookie dough! I
couldn't believe it because I usually only eat popsicles.

This kid in the picture above is one of the coolest in Mrs. Broome's class. He is always answering Mrs. Broome's questions speedy quick. He must be really smart. I was so excited to hear that he was taking me home. We played a lot with his little sister. She was nice, too. We had a scrumptious breakfast on Saturday and then played on the computer. He has some really cool games. I've told Mrs. Broome about them. And what Saturday would be fun without cartoons. We even liked the same ones. I was really excited to play on his swing set. His dog, Katie, played with us outside. She's cute. On Sunday, I went to church. I was really good and remembered my manners. He had many friends at church, and I got to meet them all. I was a little sad when the weekend was over, but he helped me get ready for school and assured me Mrs. Broome had some fun things planned for the next week.

I've noticed when watching the boys and girls in Mrs. Broome's class, this special little girl likes to have lots of fun. She is always smiling, talking to her friends, and BOY can she sing. I knew I was in for a fun filled weekend when I found out I would be visiting with her! Her mommy picked us up at school and she had such an excited look on her face when I got in. Her whole family was so happy that I was coming home with them, because they know it is a big honor for me to visit. After we got home from school, we got ready and went to Sonny's Barbecue to eat with some of her aunts and uncles. We went to Wal-Mart (cool!) to go shopping. Her dad said we needed to spend the $50 Wal-Mart requirement. I think that means they go there a lot. We bought cotton candy. Yum! I've never tried any until she gave me some. When we got home, her mommy read my favorite bedtime story twice, and then she read it to me once. They are both really good readers. We also heard some other good stories like Today I Feel Silly and There's a Monster Under My Bed. I thought that story might scare me, but it wasn't too scary. We were tucked in tight and kissed goodnight. On Saturday, we watched a few Rugrats cartoons and got ready to go see her brother play football for the Red Devils. I was very excited because I had been once before and had lots of fun. That night her mom and dad had to go to a wedding reception, so her big sister baby-sat us. We ordered pizza and breadsticks. Yummy! Sunday morning, we got up and went to church where we learned about God and Jesus and that they love us a lot. That afternoon, there was a HUMONGOUS birthday party for her cousins. It was supposed to be a pool party to celebrate the last blast of summer, because it's almost time to close her pool, but, it was too chilly to swim. They built a bonfire and had a weeny roast. I LOVE roasted weenies! Sunday night, we fell into bed, exhausted after a fun filled weekend. Her family hopes I get to visit again.

I spotted this sweet girl in Mrs. Broome's class right from the beginning of school. She always listens to Mrs. Broome and is such a good helper. She's real cute, too. I knew it wouldn't be long before we got to spend some time together. When I went home with her, we got to watch cartoons and sleep in her parent's bed. I got a little scared, because I got lost in the clothes pile, but it wasn't too long before her mommy found me. We played outside for a very long time. On Sunday, her brother and she decided to have a yard sale. They were selling some very special rocks. You can see them in the picture above. I got to sit right there with them. These rocks were so cool. I couldn't believe that no one stopped to buy any. Mrs. Broome was a little sad that she missed that special yard sale. Later on, we went for a ride on her bicycle. We rode fast. Soon it was time for bed. I got to hear my favorite story and was tucked in tight. I had a wonderful weekend!!

On this day, I went home with
a very special friend in Mrs. Broome's class. Mrs. Broome wasn't able to
show a picture, because the picture of us did not turn out, but she says
that she'll take another one of us at school very soon. I knew this friend
was going to get to take me home, because he had been using manners, being
kind to others, and following Mrs. Broome's directions. After school, I
went home with him. He made sure to tell his family all the responsibilities
that come with me. I got to play Nintendo with him. He is really good.
We went to bed early on Friday night because Mrs. Broome had worn us out
that day. We got a good night's rest and woke up bright and early on Saturday
morning. We played with all his friends. I couldn't believe my luck, but
his mom and dad took us to eat at my most favorite restaurant, McDonald's,
and we got to play on the playground. That was so much fun! Sunday morning,
we had cereal and got ready to go to the park. When we arrived, we saw
people playing frisbee, launching toy rockets, walking dogs, and playing.
I got to slide down the slide with my friend. We also swung together on
the swings. We fed the cute little ducks. Boy, were they hungry. We went
home and got ready for his sister's birthday party at his grandma's house.
Everyone was so excited that he got to bring me along. I LOVE birthday
parties. After the presents were opened, we came back to his house and
got ready for bed. We had such a wonderful weekend.

Wow! I was super excited to find out I was going home with this nice friend. I couldn't wait to get to her house. We played all weekend long. Saturday, we went grocery shopping with her mom. We also got to sit in the driver's seat of the car and pretend that we were driving. That was a lot of fun. On Sunday, we went to church and I learned some more about Jesus. She really kept me warm this weekend and took especially good care of me.
Stay tuned for more exciting adventures of Popsicle Pete!
