Geraldine Brooks, Barbara Stanwyck |
A good thriller pitting Stanwyck against Errol Flynn, gives her a lot of action. |
Apractical Stanwyck cut her hair for the film, shaping her image to fit changing times and fashions, the latter designed by Irene. She sported her naturally graying hair too. She and Heflin play, respectively, an heiress who wants to buy her husband greatness, and a man who wants to achieve it on his own. The two actors were excellent as a team. |
