On April 28th, 1973 Barbara Stanwyck was elected to the Hall of fame of Great Westerns performers in the National Cowboy Hall of Fame.. Her portrait hangs permanently in the Hall of fame. |

Barbara and William Holden had dinner together in October 1981 at the house of their common friend, Nancy Sinatra. Just three weks later, on November 16, 1981, william Holden was found dead in his apartment in santa Monica. He was 63-year old. In 1982 Barbara received her oscar. She was presented with a Honorary Oscar as " an artist of impeccable grace and beauty, a dedicated actress, and one of the great ladies of Hollywood. |

Her role was that of a wealthy Australian matriarch with a bitter disposition and a lust for Father Ralph de Bricassart (Richard Chamberlain) whose ambitious nature she manipulate to her advantage. Stanwyck 's appeared as Constance"Conny" Colby in the 1985 season of "Dinasty" and then appeared in the first four episodes of the spin-off series " DinastyII: The Colbys" starring Charlton Heston. She left after the 4th segment, for health reason. The series was not able to survive for long. |
