Venturing is a BSA program for young men and woman in high school and college under the age of 21. Crew 651 has participated in many activities, including trail building, backpacking, and a Renaissance Faire. Activities are planned solely by the members with adults serving only as advisors. Venturing has its own Oath and Code.

Membership in Crew 651 is open to young men and women who are ages 15 to 20 (or 14 and in ninth grade) and are one of the following (as outlined in our bylaws):

• Scouts who are well on their way to earning Eagle, show maturity and Scout spirit, and will actively work for the good of this new program.
• Young women, assuming a couple of dedicated adult females are willing to commit to assisting with the program.
• Others who have not been in Scouting before, but have similar interests and values.

Crew 651 is currently inactive. Our members all left in the best way possible: They all moved away to college. If there is sufficient interest it will resume activities.

Crew 651 has a private email list and bulletin board for its members to plan and announce activities.
