We all loaded up and took off for camp leaving patrol boxes, lanterns, and camp stoves behind. All of our gear for this weekend trip had to fit in a daypack and had to weigh only 15 pounds. This meant no tents.

When we arrived at camp after a short hike in we set up our "shelters", since we couldn't use tents because they weighed to much all of the scouts had to sleep under tarps or ponchos lashed to trees and held up by sticks. We all needed to eat well and get a good night sleep becuse we had a day of hiking ahead of us. We woke early and and cooked breakfast out of a pouch that had dehydrated food in it. Then we laced up the boots and hit the trail. Mid-Day we took a break for lunch and then continued back to camp for the second night. We set up our shelters at the other side of the Apache Campsite of Raccoon's, and we hit the sack after some friendly competition with another Troop camping out.

Sunday morning came with us stuffing our gear into our packs and hitting the trail out of camp. This was a truly unconventional weekend.
