In the morning around 6:30 we woke up and made breakfast in patrols. Then we hit the trail at 7:30 for a 5.3 mile hike with 5 20 minute educational breaks. We made it to the last station and ate our lunch right after. Finally we finished the last 1/2 mile to our knew campsite.
After we set up our tents we relaxed or ran around for a little while until dinner. Then we began to build a decently large fire to celebrate the successful hike. But before we lit it we got together with the other troops and performed skits. Then after a tiring day we watched our fire burn and went to sleep only to me met by a challenge the next day.
The morning began the same way as the day before, we ate breakfast and hit the trail to meet our vehicles and return home. After the first gigantic hill we decided to take another route back, which turned out not to be the decision. After about a rough 4 1/2 miles we hit a steep rock cliff about 15 feet high.
None of us could climb it with our packs on so we sent 2 scouts up packless. Then we tied a rope around a tree so we could reach a platform high enough to hand our packs up. After about 30 minutes of climbing we were able to finish the hike with an important lesson behind us.
