We had to set up our tents in the dark which didn't discourage any of the eight of us. We had our snacks and went into our "warm" sleeping bags. When we woke up some people's toes were cold, while other people's whole bodies were cold. Yet, we didn't give up we just built a fire.
The sun started to crest over the snow crested pines and we realized what a beautiful camp we were in. That day's activities included a lashing relay, a hike around the camp, and an evening campfire that had one of the scariest stories ever in it. The funny thing is we never found out what the story actually was.
We went to bed and awoke Sunday morning to another sunny day. We packed up our gear and headed out, a great weekend of camping behind us. I think we all got two things from that campout. One, as has been said "Anyone can camp in good weather, but it takes skill to camp in the cold.", and two, the best ghost story is the one not told.
