In March, 2002, Troop 237 went on a backpacking trip from Allen Gap to Devil's Fork Gap on the Appalaichan Trail. Unfortunately, it rained cats and dogs on the trip. However, we were lucky enough to be in the safety of a shelter during the worst part of the storm. Despite the undesirable weather everyone had a good time. Everyone got a chance to hone their skills and view a vast array of wildlife. During the hike turkeys, grouse, snails, squirrels, birds, toads, frogs, and many other critters were spotted.
