Trip to the U.S.S. Yorktown

In November, Troop 237 took a trip to Charleston, South Carolina. During this trip, we were able to visit Fort Sumter, take a swim in the cold Atlantic, and stay on an aircraft carrier. The carrier we stayed on was a World War II era carrier called the U.S.S. Yorktown. This ship was decomissioned in 1970 and is now a naval museum. We were able to tour the carrier along with several other vessels, including a submarine, a destroyer, and a coast guard cutter. These pictures show much of what we experienced on this trip.
