| Club Team Championship 2003 |
| The last weekend in September was a double header - the Production Challenge on the Saturday followed by the Club Team Championship on the Sunday. 1/32 Production cars are extensively race in the Southern 32 series and the BSL in the North. There were two classes - the new BSCRA Production Class (Falcon motors only) open to a restricted range of drivers and the Super Production Class (with the Hornet / Wasp motors) open to everybody. | |

| Here's the production final line up. l to r
Simon Fancis who held second place throughout, John Ovens, John Hyde,
David Farrow who moved up to third with a rapid finish, Davey Farrow and
winner Andy Brown-Searle.
On the right is Andy's winning car, borrowed from Paul Harwood a few minutes before the start of the race! As you can see, it's a Parma International 32 chassis running without weight. It will perhaps surprise a few people that Andy ids still eligible for this class. |

| Super production was organised with everybody running in 8 lane segmented heats. The top 4 went straight to the final, and everybody else went to the semis - which were again segmented. The semis were seeded by the heat times, the quickest drivers going into the last semis etc. This produced close racing, and produced the other 4 finalists. Above is a panoramic view just before the start of the final - you can see the line up, Brian Saunders, Paul Harwood, James Cleave, Kevin Noon, Grame Stephenson, Ian Barker, Ian Fisher and Richard Mack. This produced a close race James leading into the final segment, only to be overtaken by Brian, then Paul took the lead, with Brian just snatching back victory in the closing seconds. | |

| All 3 lead the final during the last segment, in the end it was Brian Saunders who won. Just in case you thought there was only one quickk set up - look at the top 3 cars. James took third with this Eurotoy (above right) - proof that these old chassis can still be competitive in the right hands. Brian's winning car (below left) is the more fashionable Demon which shows a remarkable lack of added weight - perhaps the way to go on faster tracks?. Paul's second place Demon (below right) demonstrates a bit more normal amount of lead. The motors are all different too, James running an ancient RJR, while Brian uses a Pro Slot and Paul a current RJR. | |
