November 1, 1862 left Chattanooga and came by railroad to Bridgeport, Alabama, thence to Tullahoma, Tennessee, thence marched by Machester to Murfreesboro where we remained in camp until December 5 when we went to LaVergne on picket and remained 12 days. Returned to camp and remained until December 27, 1862 when we fell into line for the great battle of Murfreesboro and continued so until the 31st when the two armies were hotly engaged. In the fight Captain Sinclair was killed while gallantly leading his company; also G.W. Kellow, W.T. Sanders, J.F. Bowen killed. Slightly wounded G.S. Davidson, J.W. Davis, S.J. Kellow, W.T. Lassiter, W.A.M. Edwards, C.J. Patterson and J.M. Davidson. Missing Sgt. L.J. Nicholson.

Remained at Tullahoma on picket until seven o'clock p.m. when we moved in the direction of Chattanooga, Tennessee. We marched across the mountains to Aetna Station where we got aboard the cars for Chattanooga. Arrived at Chattanooga July the 7th, 4 o'clock p.m. Remained at this place drilling and fortifying until November

Missionary Ridge
Remained at Chattanooga on picket until September 7 when we marched in the direction of LaFayette, Georgia. We ? so to march to and fro from LaFayette to Rock Spring til the 10th of September when we started for Chickamauga. September 19 we met the great Federal forces under Roscrans near Chickamauga Station and the great fight commenced. In the battle Lieutenants B.H. Harmon and H.J. Ballentine and Sgt. C.J. Patterson were slightly wounded. Captain S.D. Reeves slightly, privates G.S. Davidson, ??? Since that time this company as well as the 47th Tenn Regt has been encamped in the valley on pickett every four days, living on half rations

Marched to the depot and took the cars for Chattanooga, next day had a skirmish up near Tyner Station, lost no man, slept on the roadside. Next day moved to Missionary Ridge, put up crude winter quarters in Hindman's Division. Remained there standing picket every three days, most of the men barefooted, until November 23, when we fell into line of battle, continued so until the evening of the 25th when the great battle of Missionary Ridge was fought in which J.H. Taylor was killed, J.W. Toombs and J.M. ? were seriously wounded. Falling back from the ridge we crossed the Chickamauga that night. Next day marched to Ringgold, next day to Dalton where we put up winter quarters and we are there now.

This company remained in Hindman's Division until February the 16th, 1864 when it as well as the regt. was transferred to Frank Cheatham's Division. Subsequently on the 19th we were ordered to the Department of Mississippi under command of General Polk. February 19 got aboard the cars and sailed to Atlanta thence to West Point. Rested at that place that day 20 to 21, sailed from West Point to Montgomery, Alabama, thence took the boat and sailed to Selma, Alabama on 22. Rested at Selma on 23, took cars and sailed to Demopolis, Alabama. We remained at this place until the 25 of October p.m. when we got back on the cars and sailed back to Selma 26th. Remained at Selma during the day and until 5 o'clock p.m. 27th when we took the boats and sailed to Montgomery, Alabama, 28th. Sailed to West Point, Georgia 29th, sailed to Atlanta, Georgia.
