The Voyages of the Blessed Harmony

A group of adventurous sailors have decided to investigate the dozens of islands which make up Eastern Medegia, the Archipelico and the Crowded Sea. These mariners are exploring strange new islands, seeking out new treasures and new civilizations. They are boldly going where no hero has gone before.

Right now, the party consists of

Waleed al-Kareeji mage 6th our Captain
Sebastian thief 6th the Navigator
Yoobiko no Kuwahara samurai 6th First Corsair
Homer cleric of Posideon 5th Healer & Bosun
Vladimir Drake apprentice (fighter) 1st (5th) Quartermaster
Ali'a mariner 2nd Ship's Pilot
Armeritus archer-ranger 2nd a Lookout
Colin Corbett fighter 1st being hunted

As yet, the party left Amazonia for the isle of Cobar, where they commisioned the building of a western-style ship. While on the island, the merchant Perlantis Atreides asked the group to carry him and his cargo to the Pearl City of Gana. A short while later, the crew also agreed to recover a pair of fine horse, noble hawks and wild tigers for a captain from Shou Lung.

The Blessed Harmony had little trouble sailing north, along the outer edge of the Crowded Sea. As the ship neared al-Sartan, however, an intense storm hit which holed the ship (amazing crit!). They're beached on an island strangely devoid of animal life and while there were attacked by pirates. The pirate ship drove straight at them, from sea to lagoon to shore, firing its medium ballistas. The Blessed Harmony's own guns were disabled. Three crew memebers died. But Homer blew his Posideon-blessed horn, calling for help. A small gray whale began battering the pirate vessel. Several pirates died and the ship was badly damaged. Coasting out of control, the pirate vessel nearly ran aground. The pirates' charge was preceeded by a devastating fireball. And then hand-to-hand combat onthe beach followed. The pirates quickly overwhelmed the crew of the Blessed Harmony and all looked lost. Then lighning bolts began cutting through the raiders, Yoobiko's katana slashed through many more while sharks struck at those coming to shore. The few remaining warriors aboard the attacking vessel turned tail and retreated. Under-manned and badly damaged, the pirate vessel limped away from shore and directly within range of the Blessed Harmony's remaining weapons. The catapult and ballista punched several more holes in the hull. Three hundred yards off shore, the raider ship sank. The pirates themselves fled aboard two small launches, although one instantly capsized after a catapult hit. Bloodied chum ensured there would be no survivors from that vessel...

After a bit of work, the crew of the Blessed Harmony salvaged the remains of both vessels. In the process Sebastian was nearly killed by yellow mold. Gathering the survivors of the pirate raid (with the understanding of "work with us or die"), the Blessed Harmony journeyed to "the Pirate Isle" with the aid of the former pirate captain, Desmophiles. On the Pirate Isle, the crew of the Harmony met with some resistance from a group of marauding vikings, but nothing they couldn't cut down to size. Finally, all repairs made, the Blessed Harmony set sail for and arrived in the pearl city, Gana, City of Riches.

From Gana, the group decided to explore Bandar al Sa'adat, the Port of Luck. The journey to Bandar al Sa'adat was mostly uneventful, although once there the captain was soon mistaken for a notorious pirate-captain. Once the confusion lifted, the party learned of several mysteries and sunken ships in the area.

Wasting little time, the Blessed Harmony set off in search of an uncharted island where (it was said) a ring of djinni summoning lay. En route to this place, however, the crew ran afoul of four ogre magis in disguise. The monsters killed nearly half of the crew. But in the end, the heroes proven victorious.

Afterward, the lookout spotted a storm on the horizon. It seemed to be poised over an island -- one matching the description of the island sought. The crew rested a few days to heal from their previous battle before an away team went ashore. They encountered sea lions off shore and a series of caverns inland. Inside a warren of tunnels was a crabman community. Magic allowed Walleed to communicate with them and set up a truce. If the humans would take out the sea lions, then the crabmen would slay the kelpies which had killed the previous owner of the magic ring.

Where these heroes go from here is anyone's guess...!
