The Brock Restoration

Just a few pics to document this project. I undertook this over a 12 month period. Unfortunately, I don't have any photos of what the car looked like before I started work on it - the bloody film in the camera wasn't wound on!!!

Suffice to say, it was a dog to look at! The mechanicals were fine, and all the important original pieces for the car were present. I stripped her right back to bare metal, and rebuilt her. Everything that could be bought brand new from Holden was. I found there was not even one speck of rust in the car when I finished stripping her. I had the car resprayed at a friend's panel shop. When it was finished, you could dive into that paint! I didn't want to put it back together again for fear of ruining it! I don't think I need say much more -the photos of the completed car in Real Cars tells the story.

Just for the record, I had absolutely no mechanical aptitude or knowledge before I started the project, I am just as ignorant now! I just like driving....
