The team started off well. A kill by Megan Roehl , three service points by Nikki Ciapponi, and the team had an early 4-1 lead. Two service points by Sarah Vargas and two service points by Alex Cogdill helped the team take a commanding 8-1 lead. The score was 9-1 before the Grizzlies scored another points to make the score 9-2. But, with the score 10-3, the Grizzlies woke up scoring the next five straight points to cut the lead to 10-8. A timeout to regroup would help as Arvreeta Singh would serve up the next five straight points to help the team win by a final score of 15-8. The team stayed hot in the second game. Julie Geissert served up seven straight points (two aces) with help from Nikki Ciapponi (two kills) to give the team an early 7-0 lead. Then, with the score 7-2, Taylor Jerri served up two points to give the team a commanding 9-2 lead. But, the Grizzlies would fight back and make the score close at 13-10. Then, with the score 14-10, a kill by Lauren Yamaoka would help the team hold on for a 15-10 win.. The team continued to serve well in the third game. Andrea Tom served up five straight points to give the team an early 5-1 lead. Then, with the score 7-1, a kill by Samantha Surface and a kill by Sarah Vargas gave the team a commanding 9-1 lead. The Grizzlies would never recover as Andrea Tom served up the last point (an ace) to help the team to a 15-3 win. Andrea Tom led the way with a serving percentage of 1.00 (10 for 10) followed by Julie Geissert with a serving percentage of .88 (14 for 16). Julie Geissert led the team with 12 service points followed by Andrea Tom with 8 service points. Megan Roehl led the team with 8 kills followed by Sarah Vargas, Julie Geissert, and Samantha Surface with 4 kills each. Julie Geissert led the team with 4 digs followed by Taylor Jerri and Nikki Ciapponi with 3 digs each. Great job team!
