The Bullard High Knights travel to Clovis to take on the Clovis West High Golden Eagles in their first conference match.

The team did not start off well in the first game as the Golden Eagles jumped out to an early 0-8 lead.  The team finally got on the scoreboard with two service points by Julie Geissert and one service point by Lauren Yamaoka (to make the score 3-9).  But, that was all the points the team would score as the Golden Eagles went on for a 3-15 win.

The team started out slow in the second game falling behind by a score of 1-7.  A service ace by Julie Geissert and a block by Sarah Vargas and Megan Roehl helped the team cut the lead to 3-7.  Then, Lauren Yamaoka caught fire serving up six straight points to give the tam their first lead of the night at 9-7.  But, the Golden Eagles would fight back to score the next four straight points to regain the lead at 9-11.  That's when the team turned it up.  Two service points by Andrea Tom, a service point by Avreeta Singh, and three kills by Nikki Ciapponi would give the team a 15-11 win.

The third game started out in a close battle.  But, with the score 2-3, the Golden Eagles exploded for eight straight points to take a commanding 2-11 lead.  The team battled back.  With the score 4-14, Lauren Yamaoka served up four straight aces to help the team cut the lead to 8-14.  But, the Golden Eagles would score the last point to win by a final score of 8-15.

In the fourth game, the team fell behind early by a score of 0-3.  But, with the score 1-4, two kills by Nikki Ciapponi, a block by Megan Roehl, and a kill by Julie Geissert would help the team take a 5-4 lead.  The Golden Eagles would battle back to and score the next five points to take a 5-9 lead.  Alex Cogdill would serve up two straight points to help the team cut the lead to 7-9.  The team played hard but fell by a final score of  10-15.

Andrea Tom led the way with a serving percentage of 1.00 (8 for 8) followed by Lauren Yamaoka with a serving percentage of .94 (17 for 18).  Lauren Yamaoka led the team with 12 service points followed by Julie Geissert with 11 service points.  Nikki Ciapponi led the team with 13 kills followed by Megan Roehl with 8 kills. Alex Cogdill led the team with 10 digs followed by Lauren Yamaoka with 6 digs.
