The team started off well. An ace by Megan Peranick, three service points by Andrea Tom, two service aces by Lauren Yamaoka, and a kill by Maddie Morse helped the team jump out to an early 7-1 lead. A Coyote error, a kill by Sarah Vargas, and a block by Megan Roehl gave the team a commanding 10-1 lead. The Coyotes would never recover as the team cruised to a 15-1 win. The team stayed hot in the second game. With the score 1-0, a nice kill by Julie Geissert, two Coyote errors, and a block by Julie Geissert helped the team increase their lead to 5-0. Then, with the score 8-3, a kill by Sarah Vargas and two Coyote errors would give the team a commanding 11-3 lead. But, the Coyotes would not quit and battled back to cut the lead to 11-7. Two service points by Maddie Morse and things looked good as the team had a 13-7 lead. But, the Coyotes would go on a 1-9 run to pull out a 14-16 win. The team regrouped in the third game. Two kills by Megan Roehl, and a block by Megan Roehl and Sarah Vargas would give the team an early 3-1 lead. A kill by Sarah Vargas, two kills by Lauren Yamaoka, a service ace by Megan Peranick, and a Coyote error gave the team a commanding 8-2 lead. But, the Coyotes would battle back to cut the lead to 8-6. The team played tough and extended their lead to 12-6. A kill by Julie Geissert and a block by Julie Geissert and Megan Roehl would help the team increase their lead to 14-6. But, the Coyotes would not go away and battled back to cut the lead to 14-9. But, that was as close as it would get as Lauren Yamaoka served up an ace to help the team to a 15-9 win. The team got off to another good start in the fourth game as Andrea Tom served up four straight points to help the team take an early 4-0 lead. But, the Coyotes would battle back to tie the score at 4-4. A nice quick kill by Samantha Surface would help the team regain the lead at 5-4. A close battle followed with scores of 5-5, 6-5, 8-7, and 12-8. Then, with the score 12-9, Alicia Pardini came in to serve up the last three points (two aces) to help the team to a 15-9 win. Andrea Tom led the way with a serving percentage of 1.00 (24 for 24) followed by Lauren Yamaoka also, with a serving percentage of 1.00 (12 for 12). Andrea Tom led the team with 16 service points followed by Julie Geissert and Lauren Yamaoka each with 8 service points. Sarah Vargas led the team with 15 kills (with a sizzling .560 hitting percentage) followed by Julie Geissert with 12 kills. Lauren Yamaoka led the team with 13 digs followed by Julie Geissert with 11 digs. Great job team!
