2002 Season

The Bullard Knights travel up 99 to Madera for their last league game against the Madera Coytes.

The team start off well in the first game as Dawn Davies served up the first four points to give the team an early 4-0 lead.  But, with the score 6-0, the Coytes would fight back to cut the lead to 7-3.  Emily Barr then, served up four straight points to help the team increase their lead to 11-3.  A service ace by Andrea Tom, a kill by Nikki Ciapponi, and a kill by Samantha Surface gave the team a commanding 14-3 lead.  But, the Coyotes would not quit and battled back to cut the lead to 14-8.  A kill by Julie Geissert would end the game and help the team win by a final score of 15-8.

The second game started out in a close battle with scores of 1-0, 2-1, and 5-2.  Then, with the score 6-2, the team caught fire.  Two kills by Lauren Yamaoka, a Coyote error, and a block by Lauren Yamaoka and Megan Roehl would give the team a commanding 10-2 lead.  But, the Coyotes would battle back to cut the lead in half and make the score 10-5.  A kill by Megan Roehl, a service ace by Julie Geissert and a block by Lauren Yamaoka and Megan Roehl would help the team increase their lead to 13-5.  But, the Coyotes would not go away and cut the lead to 14-7. Avreeta Singh would end the game with a kill as the team would win by a final score of 15-7.

The team got off to good start in third game.  Two kills by Samantha Surface and a block by Samantha Surface and Maddie Morse would help the team take an early 3-0 lead.  But, the Coyotes would battle back to score five straight points to take a 3-5 lead.  A close battle followed with scores of 5-5, 7-5, 7-6, and 8-7.  Then, the team caught fire.  Alica Pardini would come in to serve up three straight points to help the team increase their lead to 11-7.  A kill by Maddie Morse, a Coyote error, and a nice block by Megan Roehl helped the team to a 14-7 lead.  Avreeta Singh would served up the last point as the team would win by a final score of 15-7.

Andrea Tom led the way with a serving percentage of 1.00 (11 for 11) followed by Alex Cogdill also,  with a serving percentage of 1.00 (8 for 8).  Julie Geissert led the team with 8 service points followed by Dawn Davies with 7 service points.  Samantha Surface led the team with 9 kills followed by Nikki Ciapponi, Julie Geissert, and Sarah Vargas each with 7 kills. Julie Geissert led the team with 7 digs followed by Nikki Ciapponi with 6 digs.
