The Bullard Knights travel down 99 to Bakersfield to take on the Centennial High Golden Hawks in a CIF Quarterfinal match

The team didn't start off well in the first game as the Golden Hawks jumped out to an early 1-5 lead.  A service ace by Alex Cogdill , a block by Megan Roehl and Sarah Vargas, and three service points by Julie Geissert would help the team battle back to take a 6-5 lead.  But, the Golden Hawks would score the next five points to regain the lead at 6-10.  The team did not quit and battled back to cut the score to 7-10.  But, that was as close as it would get as the Golden Hawks would go on a 2-5 run to win by a final score of 9-15.

The second game started out in a close battle with scores of 0-1, 1-2, 1-3, and 2-3.  Then, the Golden Hawks caught fire and scored the next eleven points to take a commanding 2-14 lead.  The team would play hard but fell by a final score of 3-15.

The team got off to a good start in third game.  Three service points by Maddie Morse, s block by Samantha Surface, and two service points by Emily Barr would give the team an early 6-1 lead.  But, that's when thing fell apart.  The Golden Hawks would score the next eight points to take a 6-9 lead.  A service point by Dawn Davies would help the team cut the lead to 7-9.  But, that was as close as it would get as the Golden Hawks would go on a 1-6 run to win by a final score of 8-15.

Lauren Yamaoka led the way with a serving percentage of 1.00 (8 for 8) followed by Alex Cogdill also,  with a serving percentage of 1.00 (7 for 7).  Julie Geissert led the team with 5 service points followed by Alex Cogdill, Nikki Ciapponi, and Emily Barr each with 2 service points.  Nikki Ciapponi  led the team with 8 kills followed by Sarah Vargas with 6 kills. Julie Geissert led the team with 10 digs followed by Lauren Yamaoka with 9 digs.
