Bullard High @ Edison High

The Bullard High School Knights traveled to Edison High School to take on the Tigers in a non league match.

The first game started out close.  Then, with the score 5-6, a kill by Emily Barr got the team going as they would score the next six straight points to take a 11-6 lead.  A close battle followed.  Then, with the score 20-15, a double block by Samantha Surface and Andrea Tom got the team rolling as they would go on a 5-1 run to win by a final score of 25-16.

The team stayed hot in the second game.  With the score 3-1, Andrea Tom served up four straight points (two aces) to help the team take a 7-1 lead.  A nice kill by Dawn Davies and suddenly, the team had a commanding 11-3 lead.  But, the Tigers would battle back to cut the lead to 16-11.  Then, with the score 17-11, Alicia Pardini served up three straight points to help the team increase their lead to 20-11.  Emily Barr capped off the game with a nice block to help the team to a 25-18 win.

The team continued to play well in the third game.  With the score 1-0, Andrea Tom served up five straight points with help from Megan Peranick (2 kills) to help the team take an early 6-0 lead.  Then, with the score 7-1, Taylor Jerri served up two straight points to help the team take a commanding 9-2 lead.   The Tigers would battle back to cut the lead to 21-11.  Then, with the score 22-12, Samantha Surface served up two straight points (nice jump serves) to help the team increase their lead to 24-12.  The Tigers would not recover as the team went on for a 25-13 win.
