Cross town rival, the Hoover High Patriots, invade the North Gym for a non conference match.

The first game started out in a close battle.  Then, with the score 7-5, a Patriot hitting error would spark a 10-5 run (including a nice block by Sam Surface and Christine Noll) to give the team a 17-10 lead.  A block by Megan Roehl and Avreeta Singh gave the team a nice 23-17 lead.  But, the Patriots did not quit and battled back to cut the lead to 23-20.  Then, with the score 24-21, a kill by Julie Geissert would help the team hold on for a 25-21 win.

The team started out hot in the second game.  With the score tied at 2-3, Julie Geissert served up seven straight points help the team take a 9-3 lead.  A kill by Courtney Goldman, a kill by Christine Noll, and a block by Megan Roehl would give the team a 12-6 lead.  But, the Patriots would battle back to cut the lead to 19-15 and then to 22-19.  Then, with the score 24-21,  the team would force a side out to win by a final score of 25-21.

The third game would start out in a close battle with scores of 2-1, 3-3, 4-5, 7-7, 8-8, and 10-10.  But, with the score 13-11, the Patriots exploded for seven straight points to take a 13-18 lead.  The team fought back to cut the lead to 17-22.  But, with the score 18-24, the Patriots would score the last point to win by a final score of 18-25.

The fourth game was much like the last.  Both teams battled it out to scores of 2-2. 3-3, 4-4, 6-6, 8-7, 10-8, 12-10, 13-12, and 15-13.  Then, with the score 16-13, a kill by Megan Roehl would give the team their biggest lead at 17-13.  The team would then go on a 8-4 run to hold on  for a 25-18 win.
