Bullard High @ Clovis High

The Bullard Knights travel to Clovis for a non conference match against the Clovis High Cougars.

The first game started out in a close battle with scores of 1-1, 6-5, and 7-6.  Then, with the score 8-7, a kill by Avreeta Singh, a Cougar error, and a kill by Julie Geissert would help the team to a 11-7 lead..  But, the Cougars would battle back to tie the score at 12-12 and then, take a 13-17 lead.  Another battle followed with scores of 15-19 and 18-20.  Then, with the score 20-22, a nice block by Megan Roehl would make the score close at 21-22.  But, the Cougars would score the last three points to hold on for a 21-25 win.

The second game started much like the first, close.  But, with the score tied at 4-4, the Cougars would score four straight points to take a 4-8 lead.  The team would battle back.  With the score 9-16, a kill by Samantha Surface, a kill by Christine Knoll, a Cougar error, and a block by Samantha Surface would help the team make the score close at 13-16.  But, the Cougars would battle back and score the next four straight points to increase their lead to 13-20.  The team would fight back.  With the score 14-20, Alicia Pardini would serve up four straight points to help the team cut the lead to 18-20.  Then, with the score 20-23, Courtney Goldman would serve the next four straight points to help the team take a 24-23 lead.  But, the Cougars would battle back to score the last three points to pull out a 24-26 win.

The third game started out a bit different as the Cougars would jump out to an early 1-4 lead.  The team would battle back to cut the lead to 3-5 and then to 8-10.  But, with the score 9-11, the Cougars would go on a 2-7 run to increase their lead to 11-18.  The team did not quit and battled back to cut the lead to 15-20.  But, that was as close as it would get as the Cougars would go on a 2-5 run to win by a final score of 17-25.
