Bullard High vs Clovis West High10/14/03
The first game started out in a close battle with scores of 0-1 and 3-5. Then, with the score 4-5, Julie Geissert would serve up four straight points (two nice blocks by Samantha Surface and Christine Knoll) to help the team take a 8-5 lead. But, the Eagles would battle back to tie the score at 8-8 and then at 10-10. Then, with the score 11-10, two Eagle errors, a block by Megan Roehl and a kill by Julie Geissert would help the team to a 15-10 lead. Again, the Eagles would battle back to cut the lead to 15-12 and then to 20-18. A close battle followed with scores of 21-20, 22-22, and 24-24. Then, with the score 25-24, Megan Peranick would serve up an ace to help the team to a 26-25 win. The second game started much like the first, close. Then, with the score 9-7, Avreeta Singh would serve up four straight points to help the team increase their lead to 13-7. But, the Eagles would battle back. With the score 18-14, the Eagles would score four straight points to tie the score at 18-18. The team would fight back to regain the lead at 20-18. But, the Eagles would go on a 1-7 run to pull out a come from behind 21-25 win. The team did not start off well in the third game as the Eagles jumped out to an early 0-7 lead. The team played hard but, the Eagles would build a 4-14 lead. Then, with the score 5-14, Taylor Jerri would served up three straight points to help the team cut the lead to 8-14. But, the Eagles would score the next six straight points to increase their lead to 8-20. The team battled hard but fell by a final score of 16-25. The team got off to another slow start in the fourth game as the the Eagles jumped out to an early 3-8 lead. The team battled hard to make the score 8-15. But, that was as close as it would get as the Eagles went on a 5-10 run to win by a final score of 13-25. Good job team!
