Bullard High @ Clovis West High

The Bullard Knights start the second round of conference play with a match against the Clovis West Eagles.

In the first game, a kill and a service ace by Avreeta Singh got the team off to an early 2-0 lead.  But, the Eagles would battle back to score three straight points to take a 2-3 lead.  A close battle followed with scores of 3-3, 5-4, 7-7, 8-11, 10-13, 11-16, and 13-18.  Then, with the score 14-19, a block by Megan Roehl and Courtney Goldman would help the team stay in the game and make the score 15-19.  But, the Eagles would go on a 3-6 run to win by a final score of 18-25.

The second game started out in a close battle with scores of 1-2, 2-3, 3-5, 5-6, 6-7, 7-8, 8-10, 9-12, and 10-13.  Then, with the score 11-13, Christine Noll served up three straight points to give the team their first lead at 14-13.  Another battle followed with scores of 16-16, 17-17, 19-21, and 20-23.  But, with the score 21-24, the Eagles would score the last point to win by a final score of 21-25.

The team started out well in the third game.  With the score tied at 2-2, an Eagle error and two service points by Julie Geissert would give the team a 5-2 lead.  The team would slowly build their lead to 7-3 and then to 13-8.  But,  with the score 13-9, the Eagles would battle back to cut the lead to 13-12.  A close battle would follow with scores of 15-13, 16-14, 17-17, 18-18, 20-21, 22-22, and 24-24.  But, with the score 24-25, the Eagles would get a kill to end the game and win by a final score of 24-26.
