Bullard High @ Buchanan High

The Bullard Knights travel back to Clovis for a CIF Quarter Final match against the Buchanan High Bears.

The first game started out in a close battle with scores of 2-2, 3-3, 4-5, 5-8, 6-10, and 7-11.  Then, with the score 14-8 a service ace by Avreeta Singh would help the team stay close at 9-14.  But, that was as close as it would get as the Bears would go on a 4-11 run to win by a final score of 13-25.

The second game started out close, just like the first, with scores of 0-1, 3-4, 4-5, 5-6 and 6-7.  Then, with the score tied at 9-9, a service ace by Avreeta Singh would help the team take their first lead at 10-9.  But, the Bears would fight back.  With the score tied at 10-10, the Bears would score three straight points to take a 10-13 lead.  The team played hard and battled back to tie the score at 16-16.  But, the Bears would go on a 2-9 run to win by a final score of 18-25.

The team regrouped in the third game.  With the score 2-1, Julie Geissert served up four straight points to help the team to an early 6-1 lead.  But, the Bears would battle back to tie the score at 7-7.  Then, with the score 10-11, a nice block by Megan Roehl would help the team tie the score at 11-11.  A close battle followed with scores of 14-15 and 15-18.  But, with the score 15-19, the Bears would score two straight points to increase their lead to 15-21.  The team did not quit.  With the score 20-23, a kill by Avreeta Singh and two errors by the bears would help the team tie the score at 23-23.  But, with the score 23-24, the Bears would score the last point to hold on for a 23-25 win.
