When she is not tinkering with her geek gadgets, she can be found discussing politics over coffee or reading Toni Morrison or riding the waves of the Pacific Ocean.

Though she is said to be exhibiting a distinct style in writing, she considers her journalism and creative writing professors as her greatest influences."Actually, it's not really them, it's how they trained me.
