THE HAUNTED
MANSION "Part 3"
At the moment the WMAC Masters and Ninja Turtles with Ninjara are still
wandering through the halls & corridors & rooms of this haunted mansion
somewhere in New York City trying to find another way out while being shown around
by their Ghost Host on a guided tour through his home.
NINJARA
Where do we go from here? How do we get out of this horrible place?
HEIN NGUYEN
Hmm, <Studies their situation> this seems to be the main corridor; we're
on the 2nd Floor now.
RAPHAEL
Gee, I wonder how many floors this house has anyway.
HEIN NGUYEN
Don't know, since we've never been in this house before. Let's hope it
leads to a back staircase and the way out.
LEONARDO
You're the boss, boss. Lead and we follow. <Gestures>
MIKE
BERNARDO
Yeah, right...hahaha. Let's keep going so we can locate that EXIT.
RAPHAEL
Good idea, Turbo.
NINJARA
In that case, I'm sticking with him.
RAPHAEL
<Shocked>
M-wha?! And I thought you chose me as your #1 boy.
NINJARA
I do; Ralph, you know that. But, I also like hanging out with the Masters
other times.
RAPHAEL
Oh, right, I forgot. <Shrugs>
MIKE
BERNARDO
It's cool, I'm not stealing your girlfriend.
RAPHAEL
That's okay, I understand.
CASEY JONES
The friends proceed down the hallway cautiously, not knowing what they will
run into next. Just as they pass by a long corridor that seems to stretch
into oblivion, never ending with closed doors and flickering chandeliers there
suddenly appeared a strange orange light at the far end that seemed to be
moving towards them.
MICHAELANGELO
What on earth is that?
CHRIS
CASAMASSA
It looks like a weird orange glow, like a beacon.
ERIC BETTS
Yeah, but it's getting closer, man.
HAKIM
ALSTON
And what's that familiar sound I hear? Sounds like hoofbeats.
DONATELLO
Ridiculous! Horses don't gallop through houses or mansions.
LEONARDO
Uh-oh, <Scared look> uh, guys...
RICHARD
BRANDEN
What, Leo?
LEONARDO
It...it's...OH MY GOOOOOOD! <Mimics the voice of Joey Stiles of ECW>
MICHAELANGELO
Aaaaaaaaaaaugh! <Screams like Charlie Brown>
NINJARA
Eeeeeeeeeeee! <Shrieks in terror>
EVERYBODY
ELSE
AAAAAAAAAAAAH! THE HEADLESS HORSEMAN!!!
SPLINTER
Good grief! As the mysterious orange light came closer and
closer a frightening specter seemed to materialize into full view of the
terrified Turtles and Masters. It was a rider astride a black horse that
seemed to breath smoke & fire from its nose with glowing red eyes.
The figure was dressed in black jacket with matching pants & boots and
black-red cape billowing behind it, except that...THE RIDER HAD NO HEAD!
APRIL
O'NEIL
It was the famous Headless Horseman or ghost from the Disney animated
"Adventures of Mr. Toad and Ichabod" of the ghost story "Legend
of Sleepy Hollow" In one hand was held its head or in reality, a pumpkin
carved & shaped to resemble the goblin's head, in the other hand gripped a
deadly sword. The goblin was standing straight and tall in its saddle,
laughing evil insane laughter as it bore down on the frightened mortals who
cowered before it.
JAMIE
WEBSTER
Quick! In this doorway.
JOHNNY LEE
SMITH
Hurry! Before the goblin kills us!
SPLINTER
One by one the gang ran into an open door just in time. Through the
dimly lit mist of the upstairs corridor they watched the ghost ride past them,
still laughing as if it just played a stupid joke or prank on its helpless
victims. Other sounds ranging from screams, cries, laughter, groans,
shouts, rattling chains chased the figure down the hallway and faded into the
darkness.
GHOST HOST
IT'S NICE TO SEE FOLKS ENJOYING THEMSELVES...IN MY HOME, EVERY ROOM HAS WALL TO
WALL CREEPS...AND HOT & COLD RUNNING CHILLS...HMHMMHMMMMMMM...
CASEY JONES
The humans and mutants turned their backs on the corridor and looked into
the room toward the sound of their host's voice. The candles Turbo held
again mysteriously dimmed and went out. They stood frozen with
fright! They were in the old conservatory, a room cluttered with decaying
flowers and plants. Broken windows in the room allowed them to see the
outside and there below was the private cemetary. Even though the rain
was falling hard an un-natural fog choked the gravestones. The rain was
coming in through the broken windows; the air was dank and had a musty smell of
death.
APRIL
O'NEIL
The crow flew in through one of the broken windows and perched atop a large
box situated in the middle of the room among the floral displays.
NINJARA
What's that noise?
MIKE
BERNARDO
I'll light the candles, <Relights candleholder> there we go.
Uh-oh...
HERB PEREZ
What on earth?
RAPHAEL
Yegads, what is that thing?!
SPLINTER
What the friends saw before their startled eyes was a coffin or
casket! But that was not the only thing that attracted their
attention...oh, no, for what was inside the box that made them gawk in
alarm. 2 skeletal hands could be seen gripping the edges of the lid and
pressing pushing against it, trying to force open the coffin-casket in an
attempt to escape. Rusty nails in the lid squealed-squeaked in protest
but still held firmly. An unseen voice began crying-pleading for help
from within.
UNSEEN
VICTIM
LET ME OUT OF HERE! GET ME OUT OF HERE!
CROW
<Scolds its visitors>
You disturbed a guest, caw-caw! You'll be sorry for that, caw-caw!
MICHAELANGELO
Ohmigod, something's trying to get out of that box.
DONATELLO
Good grief! I hope it's not who I think it is...
HOSUNG PAK
You mean...Dracula?
DON &
MIKE
AAAAAAAAAAUGH! <Scream and grab each other> NOT DRACULA!
NINJARA
Aaaaaaaah! <Jumps into Ralph's arms> Save me, don't let it bite me!
RAPHAEL
Oh my goooood! <Again he mimics Joey Stiley's famous line>
CASEY JONES
Leo, Ninjara, Don, Mike, Ralph, Eric, Hakim, Johnny Lee, HoSung, HoYung,
Herb, Mike, Chris, Jamie, Hein ran screaming out of the conservatory and back
into the dark hallway. They passed several closed doors as they continued
toward the far end. From each door they passed, natural and un-natural
sounds came from within such as doorknobs twisting-turning, doorknockers
clanking, pounding-banging against the frame, pleading-crying voices begging
for help. Each sounded as though it were trying to get out into the hall.
NINJARA
Ralph, I'm so frightened. <Face frozen in horror>
RAPHAEL
I know exactly how you feel. <He too is paralyzed with horror>
SPLINTER
Unfortunately the others were too scared themselves to speak or move.
The Ghost Host warns his visitors about giving themselves away, betraying their
presence to the supernatural forces that might dare harm them.
GHOST HOST
WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T BETRAY YOUR PRESENCE BY SCREAMING...FOLLOW MY
VOICE...COME, YOU HAVE VERY ACTIVE IMAGINATIONS...THAT'S GOOD...
