HARDCORE TITLE MATCH: Raisen(c) v Big Show The opening match of No Way Out 2001 was neither entertaining nor well wrestled. Crash, Steve Blackman, Hardcore and Billy Gunn all made an appearance and it turned into a battle royal. The 'One' hit a nice fame-asser on Raisen to become new Hardcore Champion, but Raisen got it back and then Big Slow gave him a show stopper on to a garbage can to become new Hardcore Champion. FATAL 4 WAY INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Chris Jericho(c) v Chris Benoit v Eddie Guerrero v X-Pac Overall I thought this was a good match. There were a lot of sweet knife-edge chops between Y2J and the Wolverine and X-Pac, who sucks, made a contribution to this match by delivering some perfect roundhouse kicks which I enjoyed immensely. Most of the moves were done very well and at one point Jericho gave each of them the Walls of Jericho. The win came when Jericho pinned X-Punk from behind. WHO'S A " BITCH-SLAPPING TRASHBAG HO ?" MATCH: Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley v Trish Stratus On looks alone I would give this title to Steph. She was wearing these dirty black pants and elbow pads and had skanky hair, whereas the lovely Trish was wearing a nice top and panties and looked like a woman. Basically Bill Regal came in and laid out Trish allowing Steph to get the pin. That was a waste of time and my time is not ...... 'BEST OF 3 FALLS' MATCH: Stone Cold Steve Austin v Triple H 1st Fall - straight wrestling The crowd were up for this match but I had a feeling it may take some time. It was a fast paced start until Stone Cold went to work on Triple H's arm. HHH returned the favour by beating on his leg. Stone Cold caught Triple H off the top rope with a stunner for the pinfall. (1-0) 2nd Fall - street fight I wonder who will win this one seeing as though Austin won the first? There was a trip into the crowd and some chair shots but best of all the return of the 2 by 4 wrapped in barbed wire. This was the cue for Austin to crawl between the announce tables to cut his head open. HHH took a great bump through the announce table and after 26 minutes of this match HHH still wasn't a bloody mess. How can this be ? Sure enough HHH was cut wide open and then back in the ring the sledgehammer was out, followed by a pedigree from HHH to get the second fall. (1-1) 3rd Fall - steel cage The final part of this match produced hellatious carnage. Stone Cold kicked out of the pedigree and Triple H kicked out of a crap stunner. The deciding pinfall was made when both men hit each other and HHH fell on top of Austin for the 1-2-3. (1-2) After the match Stone Cold gave HHH a good stunner and left. 'RIGHT TO NUDITY' MATCH: Steven Richards (avec Ivory) v Jerry Lawler (mit The Kat) I only watched the conclusion of this match which was utter shite, probably like the rest of the match. The Kat is now part of RTC. Fuck Off ! 3 WAY TAG TEAM TABLE MATCH: Dudley Boyz(c) v Edge & Christian v Undertaker and Kane There was some piss funny moments in this match. A chair was broken on the Deadman's face and Buh Buh Ray stood on a chair and slipped off the ramp on his arse. After an enjoyable match which I expected, it looked like Undertaker and Kane were going to win until Rikishi and Haku came down to kick their asses. The Dudley Boyz won with a 3D on Christian through a table. WWF TITLE MATCH: Kurt Angle(c) v The Rock This was a very good match and the result was hard to predict right until the end. There was many near falls which made for a highly entertaining contest. The funniest part was when the camera and mic picked up exactly what Angle was shouting when he had Rock in an ankle lock. He said, "Get back you son of a bitch, I'll break you're fucking ankle" - very funny. It took the Rock two Rock Bottoms to finally pin Angle and become new WWF Champion. He should now face Stone Cold in the main event at Wrestlemania, which I might add was predicted by both me and Neil way back. Quite obvious really. ANY COMMENTS ?
