Bush, Bates, Mahon and Burns sat down to witness one of the best Wrestlemania events ever, and it promised to live up to the hype it had received. An amazing 67,925 fans were there to watch it live but we made our own stadium in the front room of the Bates' household, after a few pre-Wrestlemania drinks down at the local.

Intercontinental Title Match:
Chris Jericho(c) vs William Regal
The first match was not that good and the finishing lionsault was messed up because Regal was not in the right place but Y2J got the win. I don't think this will be the end of this rivalry just yet.
[Bush, Bates, Burns - Regal  :  Mahon - Y2J]

Winner - Chris Jericho, still Intercontinental Champion.

Right To Censor vs Tazz & Acolytes
Officially my first toilet match. I managed to catch the end in which Bradshaw delivered a nice 'Clothesline from Hell' on Goodfather. The mood was fairly muted so I guess I didn't miss much.
[Bush, Bates, Mahon, Burns - Tazz & Acolytes]

Winners - Tazz & Acolytes.

Triple Threat Hardcore Title Match:
Raven vs Big Show vs Kane
I could hardly bear to watch this and there were many times when the look of disgust on the faces of BBM reflected the quality of this match. It went into the crowd and then backstage. There was a bit of golf buggy racing, fake walls and Kane threw Raisin through a window which was the best bit. They eventually came back out into the arena and at the top of the ramp Big Slow and Raven fell into a pit, Kane dived off and pinned Big Show. Bad.
[Bush, Bates, Mahon - Kane  :  Burns - Raven]

Winner - Kane, and New Hardcore Champion.

European Title Match:
Test(c) vs Eddie Guerrero
Perry Saturn made this match by wearing his lamp-shade hat again. Test hit the big boot but Malerko broke the pin up then Guerrero nailed Test with the belt for the win. Half way through the match Test had his foot wrapped up in the ropes and Perry had to help the lame ref free him. That is nice of Perry seeing as though he was in Eddie's corner.
[Bush, Burns - Test  :  Bates, Mahon - Eddie]

Winner - Eddie Guerrero, and New European Champion.

Kurt Angle vs Chris Benoit
This was a pure wrestling match with lots of reversals and amateur wrestling which they are both good at but I wasn't very excited about this style. Both wrestlers hit their moves and Angle rolled up Benoit with a handful of tights for the win. It seems that Benoit is on the way to becoming a face.
[Bush, Mahon, Burns - Benoit  :  Bates - Angle]

Winner - Kurt Angle

Women's Title Match:
Ivory(c) vs Chyna
I didn't see any of this match because I was in the fridge. Bates informed me that Chyna beat the hell out of Ivory and that was that.
[Bush - Ivory  :  Bates, Mahon, Burns - Chyna]

Winner - Chyna, and New Women's Champion

Street Fight: (special guest referee - Mick Foley)
Vince McMahon vs Shane McMahon
I can safely say we all enjoyed this match a lot. There were a few excellent parts of this match, the first was Shane's elbow drop through the announce table when Vince moved out of the way. A docile Linda was wheeled to the ring and Trish slapped Vince. Foley took a smart chair shot and like he had said earlier Vince sat Linda in the corner to see her son get beaten up. Just as Vince was about to hit Shane with a trash can Linda rose from the dead and gave him a swift kick to the knackers. From then on Foley and Shane beat Vince up. With Vince sat on one side of the ring with a trash can on him Shane went to the other side and bounced off the top rope with a drop kick. Superb. Mick made the three count and  the crowd were hot for this match both in Texas and in Davyhulme.
[Bush, Mahon - Shane  :  Bates, Burns - Vince]

Winner - Shane McMahon

'TLC II' Tag Team Title Match:
Dudley Boyz vs Hardy Boyz vs Edge & Christian
A very tough match to predict the outcome of but it was an absolute treat. After the first TLC match the expectations were high. There were so many great moves and Spike Dudley, Rhyno and Lita all played a part. Spike hit the acid drop on Edge in the ring then on Christian to the outside through a table. Jeff hit a swanton off a 20ft ladder on Spike and Rhyno through a table. At one point Jeff was hanging from the belts in the middle of the ring until Edge hit a sweet spear from the ladder. WOW. Buh-Buh and Matt both went through a stack of tables when Rhyno pushed the ladder they were fighting on, demolishing each table. This enabled Edge & Cristian to climb the ladders and claim the belts. I've only seen TLC I once and TLC II once and I think this one was probably better. The two best matches I've seen.
[Bush - E&C  :  Mahon - Hardys  :  Bates, Burns - Dudleys]

Winners - Edge & Christian, still Tag Team Champions

Gimmick Battle Royal:
inc. Earthquake, Tugboat, Doink, Sgt.Slaughter, Iron Sheik, Gobbledy Gooker, Bushwackers.
The best bit of the match was Bobby Heenan and some cracking jokes. There was no surprise entrants which we were expecting and the actual match lasted about 3 minutes. Terrible. The Iron Sheik ended up winning but I didn't see him once in the ring until everyone had cleared.
[Bush, Mahon - Sgt.Slaughter  :  Bates - Gobbledy Gooker  :  Burns - Earthquake]

Winner - The Iron Sheik from Iran

The Undertaker vs Triple H
This match was alright and the crowd were well up for it because Dead Man is from these parts. They fought in the crowd where HHH was thrown over a barrier onto a bed. Back in the ring Undertaker got bust open with the sledgehammer but kicked out of the pin. The match finished when Undertaker gave HHH the Last Ride from the corner, in impressive style, and got the pin. Thats 9 out 9 at Wrestlemania for the Undertaker.
[Bush, Mahon, Burns - Triple H  :  Bates - Undertaker]

Winner - Undertaker

WWF Title Match:
The Rock(c) vs Stone Cold Steve Austin
The main event started around 4:20am but the lads were still awake but slightly dazed. Once the match started we soon woke up. Obviously because it was in Texas SCSA was going to get the biggest pop and thats how it turned out on the whole. Each man did their own signature moves and each others aswell, but we were still expecting and hoping for a huge surprise to end the match, ie: The Real American, but it was Vince McMahon who made his way to the ring. He helped Austin beat the shit out of the Rock but he kept kicking out of every pin. Finally after Stone Cold hit him over again with the chair he managed to get the pin. Austin and Vince drank beer and taunted a bloody Rock in the ring after the match. Some of the crowd were still cheering for Austin even though he had clearly turned heel. Overall it was a great match which we all enjoyed but Burns was particularly disgusted with the fact that Austin had "sold his soul to the devil".

Winner - Stone Cold Steve Austin, and New WWF Champion.

THE VERDICT:

Bush    - It was top, and lived up to the expectation that it created. It got off to a fairly slow start but this was because
they put a lot of the poorer matches at the start, but the matches where we expected big things to happen
certainly didn't disappoint. 1. Rock/Stone Cold, 2. Vince/Shane and 3.TLC II were the obvious highlights in that
order, although as I expected TLC II wasn't as good as the first one in my opinion but it was going to be very
difficult to beat. Shane again showed us why he is one of the best people in the WWF and it isn't often you see a
storyline as big as a Stone Cold heel turn begin. There wasn't the expected WCW involvement and I was
convinced that Shawn Michaels would return, also where was Pete Rose? Is he dead?
But alas, their absence in no way marred what was an excellent PPV and well worth staying up for:
9/10
Bates   -
A very slow start
Mahon -
Super sweet. Some of the best matches ever but disappointed with no surprise run-ins. Probably the best
              PPV I've seen:
9/10
Burns  -
