THE DARKEST NIGHT and
THE BRIGHTEST DAY
On the night of the cross,
a darkness descended.
The disciples were scattered
and all seemed to have ended.
It was Jesus
they were crucifying
on the cross that night,
and many would waiver
and walk by their sight.
But the story didn’t end
with the cross that night,
for ‘twas three days later
the prophecies proved right.
He arose from the grave
and set the captives free.
He died yet arose
for you and for me.
