As I sat and stare in late spring, skies were filled with dark clouds
Thunder and lightning ruled the air,
After this stormy night, the sun shines at its brightest
A glorious new day we share;
Such contrasting events, only a few souls can appreciate
Of the beauty that it brings,
Thank you for this perception, a point of bonding together
Sending forth new beginnings;
With this, I leave my heart, for you to treasure, to keep
A wonderful blend of sorrow and grace,
Farewell my good friend as I pray for angels to watch over you
Granting you serenity in all your ways;
In my dream, calling you by name separated by mountains and oceans
Standing on different grounds,
Hoping to cross our paths to lie in a quiet rich forest
Where all creation abounds.
